or use the 200 points to redeem RM1. tongue.gif

We were talking about TreatPoints, not Membership Rewards Points. TP and MR are 2 different programmes, thus having different catalogues.

anyway, just got my ocbc titanium & monthly spending seldom >1k, so might keep amex gold as secondary since its free for life. only thing is the annual rm50 GST. hmm.gif

yah, as zenquix mentioned, Maybankard 2 Cards expecially the American Express is much much better compared to AMEX Gold Credit Card.

click here to read my comparison of Maybankard 2 Cards American Express versus OCBC Titanium.

In the above mentioned post from my blog, someone commented that she called MBB CS and they confirmed that the 5% cash rebate does not apply to online transactions on weekends.

**Edited**
However if you prefer cash rebate over vouchers then the AMEX's American Express Gold CC would be the preferred choice but you be losing out on a lot of other transactions where Amex's Amex Gold CC only gives 2X MR as compared to MBB Dua's 5X TP.

I notice that the AMEX from Maybank2C gives 5x TP points and 5% weekend expenditure. Do i get both of them?

So assuming i spent RM1,000 that weekend, i get 5,000 TP and RM50 rebate?

I notice they have Tesco, Giant and Borders vouchers to redeem for.
Indeed they have.

Amex Gold CC features not really competitive compared to the Maybankard2s
Yes. Maybank practically is sabotaging its own products. First it was the VISA Petronas, then they come up with the AMEX Gold and now this Maybankard 2 doh.gif Good to us though. My Treatpoints are growing like weeds rclxms.gif

A RM50 hypermarket voucher needs 11,000 points, which is not attractive. It would be better to redeem RM50 shopping voucher for Metrojaya and Robinsons with 9,000 points only.

I seldom shop at Metrojaya and Robinson. sweat.gif

Amex MR points can redeem 200 points for RM1, called Flexi Reward, you can call CS and redeem. Redeemed amount will be credited back to the card account. E.g Amex Gold Credit Card gives MR points.

Amex TP points so far can only redeem vouchers. E.g. Maybankard 2 Amex gives TP points.

Hello guys,

There's nothing wrong with the Maybank announcing whether the payout for the month has been achieved.
Pls note that they have changed their terms and condition during Dec'10 so it's no longer an obligation for them to do it.

I don't think so since different point system.

AMEX Gold CC ---> MR
Maybankard 2 AMEX ---> TP

Just noticed from Maybankard FB, the early batch of the MBB2 Amex Platinum does not have the word 'Platinum' printed on the card.

Sure. Why not ? Just request for a replacement card biggrin.gif Be sure to ask them to waive off the replacement card fee though.

What I concern is when we request for the replacement card, can we still keep the existing card as a collection. (Limited collection without "Platinum" word on it). rclxms.gif tongue.gif

Do update us on this. I am thinking to change to MasterCard too when it becomes available.

Definitely can. All you need to do is to request for the replacement card over the phone and tell the CS your existing one has broken into two and that you have thrown it to the dustbin laugh.gif

FYI, i did not return my old HSBC credit cards last time when i requested for replacement cards due to me changing all my official signature.
