Anyone holding a Touch & Go Zing? I have requested the service to be transferred to my M2Card AMEX but it's still charged to my previous card a month ago. Anyone facing the same problem even after requesting AMEX to transfer this service?

Thanks!

@yeahh
MBB will waive the RM800 AF for AMEX Platinum if you are able to spend 3-4K per month. It's not really worth getting it as the rewards are not as attractive as M2Cards

@beyond86
I think now Membership Rewards points are not able to redeem cash as well (RM1 =200 points). I no longer get to find this in AMEX website.

Anyone care to share? Thank you.

Is the American Express Platinum Credit Card worth applying for ?
Maybank2U's Platinum Partners list differs from AMEX website... which is the up-to-date list ?
*
Definately not worth applying for. I have terminated this card to apply for the MBB2 cards. Reason is simple, to avoid the RM800 GST (waivable if you are able to spend ~RM5K a month)

You should refer to the information from AMEX instead of M2U.

You're confusing people, friend.

The RM 800 is referring to the annual fee. biggrin.gif

Ops... thanks for the clarification. GST definately cannot be charged@RM800. tongue.gif

All Amex is using MR. Can only transfer between Amex cards. Irregardless of MBB2 Amex card or AMEX card.

All AMEX issued by AMEX is using MR. AMEX issued by MAYBANK is using TP. So not all AMEX are using MR. The MBB2Cards AMEX is TP point system, not MR because it's issued by Maybank.

And, you cannot transfer MR to TP. I have asked this question more than 3 times to a MBB customer service - reason due to points system.

Hello All,
Today I tried to cancel one of my remaining cards - AMEX Gold Credit card, as I still have some MR points associated with this card through the phone. I was thinking to redeem all the MR as initially I know of we are not able to transfer MR to TP. However, to my surprise, I asked the Customer Service again if it can be done that way and I got an answer "YES". I was stunned and at the same time, I felt happy, because I do not need to use up all these points when I cancel the AMEX Gold CC. Previously, when the MBB2C launched, this was not possible.

So the answer is YES now, with the condition you terminate the card that carries MR.

Hope this helps and sorry for giving the outdated news.

I cancelled my Amex Gold cc some 2 weeks ago. To my surprise, the account has been automatically removed from my M2U when I checked my M2U yesterday. I would say MBB service has improved and unlike the previous time whereby the cc accounts would be shown in M2U for years even though the accounts had been terminated.

For my AMEX Gold and Plat, even I requested them to remove from M2U, seems like it's still there! It has been 2 months since I canceled Plat and recently on the Gold. Have been making this request a few times... Wondering what's wrong at their side...

Hi, I am trying to change my pin for my AMEX Corporate Card. Do you guys have any idea where to change the pin for first time, apart from doing it in LCCT?

Today my card was charged by KARMALOOP INC US23.12 and Paypal USD1 where I did not make any purchases from these 2 companies. I believe this is a fraud. I have made complaints to MBB through the AMEX line and they have blocked my card and promised to send the new card in 5 working days.

Guys, do watch out for things like this.

Hi Guys:-
I am looking for some answer to the Maybank The Platinum Charge Card. I am scouting for an AMEX and to be honest, the perks offered by this card attracts me. But the same time I am not willing to pay for it's AF which is 3K+.

Here's the product
https://www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/mala...tinum_card.page

Has anyone successfully (and by experience) managed to waive the 3k+ AF from Maybank? If yes, what is the criteria that the bank is asking? I asked the officer, and the answer I got is I have to pay it yearly.

Thanks!

Since Maybank restricts airmiles redemption per month, it's useless to have so many TP or MR that cannot be converted to airmiles... :-(

There's limit too? Gosh luckily you told me that...

Hey Everyone:-
It's me again with another question on the Maybank Platinum Charge Card. Now that I am arguably fine with the high AF, I need to evaluate if I am gonna reap the max benefit out of it.

The paper benefits is aplenty for this card, I could find them in the MBB website. But what I really hope to get some input is how did you guys who are holding this card right now, able to reap this benefit totally to be justified with that AF fees.

From my perspective it's the supplementary 4X + Priority Pass membership they are offering, coupled with lower MR to redeem miles. What else really?

BenChiew sifu your input is much appreciated too!

Thanks for the wonderful input. I have to say that the Charge Card status isn't my consideration all...

In all I guessed it's the Priority Pass unlimited access justified for the high AF...

To each their own. This card don’t make you do monkey job for entry into lounges. I guess the willingness to pay the AF is the first qualifying criteria Maybank puts onto their potential card members. And they reciprocate by giving you evergreen points.
Also no stress on limit hold being a superior charge card.

Do you mean it's a hassle to enter lounges with other cards?

BenChiewI used to use CIMB TWE but I have finally decided to cancel it as the benefits doesn't seemed well. What I am lacking is an AMEX so probably I might consider this.

It really depends on your lifestyle and holiday plans.

1. I try to charge everything to the card as much as possible, Lazada, Shopee, hotels, restaurants, etc.
2. I have claimed 1,300,000 MR into Krisflyer already. There's another 560,000 MR sitting in my account - waiting for the next Hunger Games.
3. Priority Pass is good, but in Singapore it doesn't allow shower facilities - I use my HSBC card for that
4. I used the Centurion lounge and Delta lounges (with a valid Delta airlines ticket) in the USA and found it beneficial
5. Golf privileges as well but not easy to book, must be very flexible
6. Travel insurance - but I forgot to apply for my flight delay

Thanks for the valuable insights!
