 Use speedstep while OC, can anyone teach me

Recently i try OC my proc..phenom 2 x4 955BE
and...i find that..it never turn to 800 while idle....like always befo re OC
is it any ways...to do this....use speedstep while do OC hmm.gif

High usage------------> Overclock speed
Idle-------------->low power consumption like 800mhz

Is Cool N Quiet turned on in the BIOS? If it is, turn it off.

in my i5 760 and P7P55 LX, I adjust the bclk but not the multiplier. I get both turbo and speedstep icon_rolleyes.gif
I am not sure of your AMD tho

after finishing test i enable back this feature...
but mine on intel...i know nothing bout amd

If i try off the Cool and quite..will it work...Speedstep on OC

Thats the prob....i used to have intel proc...not really know about amd

Yo bro..straight go into bios / go & find the C&Q funtion, then disable it...

Save & Exit configuration, after restart you will see the full speed of your processor~ whistling.gif

not that easy bro.. sometimes, CnQ not working under certain situation..
so to TS, experiment with ur HWs is the option

most of the time, u trouble with CnQ after messing up with HTT..

btw
speedstep is not CnQ..that is features on some mobo that slowly increase the cpu speed after u enter OS iinm

the one we discuss is cool and quiet.. power saving features of AMD CPU..
