Use speedstep while OC, can anyone teach me

Recently i try OC my proc..phenom 2 x4 955BE
and...i find that..it never turn to 800 while idle....like always befo re OC is it any ways...to do this....use speedstep while do OC  High usage------------> Overclock speed Idle-------------->low power consumption like 800mhz teach me please..thanks  |

Is Cool N Quiet turned on in the BIOS? If it is, turn it off.

after finishing test i enable back this feature... but mine on intel...i know nothing bout amd |

Yo bro..straight go into bios / go & find the C&Q funtion, then disable it...
Save & Exit configuration, after restart you will see the full speed of your processor~  |
