Hi all,
I'm going to share my views on whether XBOX 360 is better than PS3? or vice-versa.

This is not a true debate, rather, more on opinion and the reason why you choose one console over the other.
I have both PS3 and XBOX360 in my home, I played them both fairly and compared them side by side too.

Here's my view (dated today only, 1/19/2011):-


XBOX360 VS PS3
I choose XBOX 360 because...
- XBOX LIVE give outstanding online gaming experience, no lag (or almost no lag) when playing Xbox360 Games. (Need to pay subscription fee in order to play online)
- XBOX Graphic is better (in most games), than PS3
- XBOX is much more cooler (PS3 generate more heat)
- XBOX is able to change batteries (PS3 have to buy new joypad once your joypad is not able to recharge anymore)
- XBOX have more variety of games to download, whether it is demos, trials or free. (PS3 was launch in 2006, Xbox360 since 2005, but PS3... hmm, Sony is still not there yet and not much stuff to download either)
- XBOX 360 Navigation online/offline, are very smooth. (PS3 Navigation-XMB are also smooth, but when viewing.browsing games online, for example: it lag at times, average 8 - 30 seconds, to load 1 image)
- XBOX is able to install MOST/ALL games into the harddisk, which makes it load faster. XBOX can also Install games into Pendrive, making them load even faster. (PS3, you can only install the game, if the game support it! Thus, you can only find this Install option inside the game, or it's just not capable to install it)
- XBOX is quieter than PS3, in a long run.
- XBOX have much more multiplayer online games, than PS3 does.
- XBOX AtTheMoment, can upgrade up to 250GB or flashdrive, at the max 16GB.
- XBOX have much more Games titles than PS3 does.
- XBOX have better Avatar and slightly easier achievable achievements, compare with PS3 trophy. (Some trophy are really hard to get... and require online multiplayer to get them. Depends on the games too)



PS3 VS XBOX360
I choose PS3 because...
- PS3 is AT THE MOMENT:- FREE online Gaming! (That's right folks, free.. but lag issues if server is too heavy and if game is too far and etc...)
- PS3 Graphic is better only if games are exclusive for it! (Like Metal Gear Solid, God of wars 1,2,3... those games are for exclusive for PS3! You cannot find them for XBOX360)
- PS3 can connect and can use PSP (XBOX360 can't do that!)
- PS3 have WIFI, BLUETOOH and top of all, 1000GB/s. (XBOX have to purchase seperate WIFI, no Bluetooth and 100MBPs.
- PS3 can do Profile Migration between 2 PS3s. (PS3 can connect to another PS3, and transfer the profile. However, I am really not sure why does it takes 1-2 hours to transfer a small profile without any game installed. 1GBPs, does it really count?)
- PS3 can backup the entire PS3, onto external USB HDD / Pendrive.
- PS3 home is one feature that XBOX missed, in term of online community. People can gather around, play games together, chat.... its a good place to meet/chat/play/watchvideo all online, using PS3 home. Think of it as IRC with Virtual 3D enviroment, walking around.
- PS3 joypad controller is much preferred controller for most/all games, compare with XBOX. (Seriously, try playing Street Fighter 4 on XBOX controller. It's just not as good as PS3's controller! honest!)
- PS3 has the MOST RPG Games than XBOX! (Yes folks, look for RPG title games? go for PS3)
- PS3 1st generation, able to play PS1/PS2 Games. (XBOX360 can only play "some" XBOX1 titles)
- PS3 have blue-ray reader and its region free. (XBOX have only DVD reader and are restricted to the region. Means, PS3 can play DVD/Blueray Games that are from US region. Unlike XBOX360.)


Conclusion:-
In my humble (VERY VERY HUMBLE) opinion: I have grow up with these 2 consoles ever since they were released. They are the best out-there and closely match on each other.
But which is better? (If you ask me..)

PS3 VS XBOX360 = XBOX360 VS PS3, what's the difference?

from ur pros n cons.. i understood that Xbox 360 is way cooler n better.

as Sony's motto is "Make.Believe".. i honestly think that their product is just all about hype.. its not really up to expectation.. they just make believe..

i still regret bought my PSP instead of iPod touch.. its browser n sounds sucks.. even the iPod have good games now

No difference, just stating if PS3 better? or Xbox360 better?

PS3 being region free is a big plus for me. I found that a lot of games that I want to buy on Xbox are region locked to US, it's really a let down.

Yeah, I share ur pain. I wonder why did Microsoft did that? License? Age Rating? Country Rules & Regulation?

Hmm... your comparisons have some flaws

-Xbox Live is overated. PSN is free and and ppl have shown performance wise there is no difference. Even in Guitar Hero games. Its all down to your internet connection.
-Xbox exclusives suck. Graphically inferior to PS3 exclusives. As for multiplatforms, the difference in graphics is negligible offset by gameplay experience. In other words either console have the same game experience and content.
- PS3 is cooler . How else XBOX have bad RROD cases?
-Are you an idiot? The DS3 batteries can be replaced. Read the instruction manual.
-Granted xbox360 started its debut earlier. Content on PSN is increasing btw but im doubt that in terms of game dlc, xbox has better.
-My PS3 has a 500GB HDD and supports ext harddrives too go figure...

In my humble opinion you play with your xbox more because of pirated games and that is why you prefer it.

i got all 3 consoles to satisfy my needs. So i dont have a right to choose. but here's a rundown :

Xbox 360 :
-Xbox live gold OWNS.nuff said
-BEtter avatar items to customise with. Nobody gives a crap for stupid pshome avatar furniture or the mii
-Xbox 360 is MADE for the shooter games. Which is why its my 'shooter-only' console.

PS3
-Region free games!nuff said
-Bigger space for games so i dont have to switch discs (eg. FF 13 on xbox360)
-Im sony fanboi
-PS3 is for my RPG + Exclusives + fighting game needs.
-Portal 2 ps3 version GIVES you a free copy of the same game on pc. Thats right,buy 1 portal 2 on ps3,you get portal 2 on the pc also. PS3 win!

Wii
-For when its time to visit old school games.Donkey kong,kirby,mario
-Unique ninchuck movement gives a whole new take on game play experience. Anyone who played spiderman shattered dimensions using the wii mote will know what i mean.
-Monster hunter!
-Far more unique games on wii than ps3 and xbox 360. And their good!


So there's my summary of all 3 consoles. You want the best gaming experience?get all 3.like me
