I want an RC roof for my car porch to park 2 cars...

I like the flat roof of RC roof but not the cost of it.

I can have a RC structure but what material can I use for the roofing?

If use glass...it will be modern but hot and diff to clean...

Polycarbonate is also out...dirty looking...

Any ideas ?

flat roof / rc flat roof normally finishing by flat concrete slab..not suitable for genting/roof tiles..

better flat concrete slab @ resak roof structure (genting as roofing) @ normally beam structure..

Look at the photo I think your existing rc beam cannot taking.
Cause when design the structure have tie back inside the bedroom it is too much cantilever.
Cause It is column free.

For normal double storey can be use dummy column for support and use lightweight aluminium roofing at ceiling put insulation to avoid the heat to direct into car and hot.

The option can use ibeam for support and used temple glass for roofing and used standless steel rod for tie back into wall.
For car porch can't see the column for support it is more nicely

For normal contractor can be give you advice and cost of your budget.

The other can use Square hollow section to support the metal truss for tie back and use metal roofing.
Maybe it is more cheaper cost.
