Today I went to post parcels for customers. Then the post staff told me that they had increase the poslaju rates. So for those that don't know please take note ya...

Normally I send parcel less than 500g they charge Rm5.70 (No round up is Rm5.67)

But now new rates is Rm5.75 (After they rounded up) .. No round up is Rm5.73

Sien... They keep increase price sweat.gif

The price increase is because of tax.

Normally they charge 20% (fuel surcharge and dunno what surcharge)(this one same as before).

Then add up 5% (before 2011) and now budget already announce that service tax is 6% mah. Not simply increase.

Yes, you are right.
It's because of the tax from 5% to 6%.
The pos laju rate is still the same actually. smile.gif

Not really big increment unless you're posting A LOT.
For RM500, 1% is just RM5.

minus poslaju rates, rm10-rm5.75 = rm4.25 untung meh laugh.gif

I don't think so they will charge blindly lower cause they still use the system to calculate weight and location (IINM).
Correct me if im wrong..

KL to KL i think its about RM4.95 or below RM5.

erm....

If the shoe Box is less than 30cm then they will charge u normally by weight..

Less than 1kg should be Rm5.75

or u can check the rates here : http://www.pos.com.my/pos/appl/fast_mail_rate.asp

If the box is Over 30cm. They will measure the box and might charge u with the Volumetric rates IF the Volumetric is higher than the actual weight. (Sometimes they lazy then they will not measure)

To find the volumetric rates please follow this equations:

Length x Width x Height / 6000 = Volumetric (Estimated weight)

Once u got the volumetric (Estimated weight) then u can check the rates at the link I gave u above.

However, if the actual weight is higher than Volumetric, they will charge u by the actual weight rates. They choose which ever higher.
