Sounds like you need to upgrade to MX 518, Razer Viper or Razer Diamondback.

viper is sensitive, your settings are not right. to adjust sensitivity 1st you must set your control options under mouse properties in the control panel. mine is set for 3 clicks slow. anyway, using razer diamondback with exactmat. |

i have no complaints with my mx700, it's heavy but u'll get use to the weight in no time. if u want something cheaper, get mx500, mx510, mx518 according to ur taste and budget
mx518 has a built it button that changes resolution on the fly but of coz dearer than mx500 and mx510 |

for your info.
the razer mouse is designed like that cos the CEO of razer is left handed. so he wants a mouse that BOTH lefties and righties can use. so its good design. name me a lefty that can use a logitech? none now that is called bad design and i dont think you tried the razer yet right? |

I don't really like Razer mice. The ergonomics suck bigtime. It's rather simple, kinda similar to the basic Logitech mice. I like the shape and feel of the Microsoft IntelliMouse series (specifically the 3.0 version) and the Logitech MX510/8 series.

Should be getting a couple more DB Plasma this week. You can also check with C-zone and see if they still have stock.

If you're good, you're good. If you're bad, you're bad. No mouse can change that.
That being said, the mouse will help you a little bit. It's better then any ordinary mouse out there and it feels good. The teflon legs make it slide easily across the mousepad(I use the Razer Exactmat mouse pad) and the mouse itself is extremely sensitive. You can set the DPI itself with just a touch of a mouse button so you can set it extremely high if you're playing FPS games or bring it down to a reasonable sensitivity for other games or just for normal computer use. If you do get the mouse, make sure you get the Razer Exactmat too. I swear you'll never use any other cheap mousepads again! It's that good! The mouse won't make you a better player but it helps! |

I haven't used the Logitech but personally, I have no regrets getting the Razer. I used to have the Logitech MX510 which has the same body shape as the MX518. I didn't really like it because of the shape and size. That is one of the main reasons I got the Razer over the MX518.
Lookswise, the Razer Diamondback Plasme Edition is one of the nicest looking mouse out there and it works really well with the Razer Exactmat. Whatever mouse you choose though, I highly recommend you getting the Razer Exactmat. It beats the hell out of any of the crap mousepads you've EVER used. |

get the razer exactmat
my mat now i'm using the control side cos my speed side worn out already. but even then it took about 6-7 months for the speed side to wear out. current mat is 1 yr old now. oh yea, MX1000 isnt that heavy if compared to the MX700. only drawback fo me is the MX1000has got a very wide base. |

PS/2 only lets you run it at 400dpi.
and not sure if the specialized gaming drivers that they ripped off from razer would work in PS/2. ripped off, cos logitech users have long used razer drivers to run their mouses til logitech noticed it and decided to do one for the mx518. Look at the new G series keyboard and mouse from logitech .. cool !
(taken from http://news.com.com/2061-10797_3-5828929.h...8929&subj=news) Logitech bets on laser mice and LCD keyboards PC gadget maker Logitech took the wraps off a box of new goodies for PC game enthusiasts, including a programmable keyboard with an LCD display and two mice with laser tracking technology. All three products are designed to tap into a video games industry (hardware, software and accessories) that The NPD Group estimates just reached $4.1 billion for the first half of this year--June to July. That's an increase of 21 percent over the $3.4 billion the analyst firm found in the first half of 2004. Logitech G15 keyboard Credit: Logitech Logitech's new G15 keyboard ($79.99) features a built-in LCD display that can let players know how many more rounds of ammunition or life points they have left before taking on another division of soldiers single-handedly. The G15 also has 18 programmable backlit keys with two possible brightness levels, software that lets players set up custom commands for every game and a gaming mode switch that disables the Windows key so players won't get dropped out of a game if they accidentally press it. Logitech G5 Laser Mouse Credit: Logitech The new G-series game mice include Logitech's G7 cordless and the USB-connected G5. Both include resolution of up to 2000 dpi, which can be adjusted on the fly to as low as 400 dpi, the company said. Each mouse processes 500 reports per second--much faster than the 60 to 125 reports per second of traditional USB mice. The G7 operates on Logitech's 2.4GHz cordless technology with 24 channels unlikely to interfere with other consumer devices. If one does, the G7 jumps to another channel instantly. For that true customized fit, the G5 comes with 16 miniature round weights--eight weighing 1.7 grams and eight weighing 4.5 grams. Any combination of up to eight weights fits into a small cartridge that can be inserted into the base of the mouse. The G7 cordless mouse will retail for $99.99, while the G5 will sell for $69.99. Both will be available in the U.S. and Europe in September. ![]() ![]() another link http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=186546 This post has been edited by andyz: Aug 12 2005, 11:12 AM |

1. Everdying - green 2. Xonius - green 3. arj - red 4. mistaman - blue Copperheads are expected to retail for around RM 300. Gotta check the cost. If there's a big enough margin, we should be able to give you guys a better price. ------------------------------- Oh yeah, you guys know how much the Saitek Eclipse is retailing right now? Copperhead: Gamespot said late August, but Razer's European online store says it won't be out until October. A Singapore site says mid September. I think Ever is interested in the Eclipse as well.... Saitek Eclipse: Most likely we'll have it around the same time as Dungeon Siege 2 (around 22nd or 23rd of this month, maybe earlier if they can ship it out quick). Do you know Robyn's price? I know it's SG$99, but not the local price. We'll probably get a quote by early next week. Discount sure ada... |

saitek eclipse should be cheaper than saitek pc gaming cos theres no seperate stupid numpad.
unless of cos the distributors try to cheat ppl by increasing price and saying its a new product. saitek pc gaming retails at RM230. so retail of saitek eclipse should be cheaper. and yes i want one of that |

just waiting to get a new camera, so when that happens i'll take some even better looking product shots of it to tempt you and come to think of it, if i get that saitek keyboard, i would want the copperhead in blue then This post has been edited by Everdying: Aug 14 2005, 01:39 AM |

I'm definitely going Copperhead also but I just got the Diamondback a couple of months back....so wasteful!
Next on my list will be the new Logitech gaming keyboard! I wanted to get the Saitek long ago but I didn't like the key tapping feeling. Hopefully the Logitech one is similar to all the previous Logitechs then I'm definitely blowing my money on it! http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products...CONTENTID=10717 |

Call us old school or not.. but we're doing ok on kboard alone. Use rudder controls on mouse.. I never tried that.. Sure analog control would make it more sim-like, but I guess ew got used to it? For me it's not about flying anymore, it's about timing the darn bombs

The Gamer's is better as it uses the US configuration hence a normal sized left shift and the @ and " keys in the proper place. I've moved the Gamer's to the WorkRig as I have to do more actual "work" there... Otherwise they feel the same. The color is better on the Eclipse but I should have bought two Gamer's keyboards instead. It's still available at Czone btw (the Gamer's that is) and the Eclipse is available at Robyncom. Both retail for around RM200. |

Dunno about other pads but Razer Exactmat is in my opinion the best! There are so many different mouse pads for gaming now. However, if you're going to get a Razer mouse, why not a Razer pad?

heh i've had the exactmat for more than a yr.
for a slightly cheaper option, but still feels just as good, go look for the everglide richochet. the battlepad pro? its cheap so cant expect much. i actually have one lying around my room which i got last yr, used it for a total of 2-3 times only. so uhh end of story. |

i've never installed the viper driver before.
but master acceleration i guess refers to the settings for how fast the mouse pointer moves. |

Comex price is promotional price lar. We won't be able to sell for SGD110. If you want it at that price, you'll have to ask someone to get it for you at Comex.
If you wish to cancel your order, PM me before Monday morning. Don't want to order too many if one of you guys decide to bulk it at Comex this weekend. |

Aww man, with all those cheap horror movies coming out in cinemas every week, u can get pretty familiar with it by now. But hey, i've seen the clip on G4, and it does look nice. I mean terrifiying. Same goes for the sys requirements, I guess.
Hey, gamers doesn't have exactmat at those prices, does they..? |

Logitech G5 laser Mouse review taken from avault
http://www.avault.com/hardware/getreview.a...view=logitechg5 "Battlefield 2 Again, I immediately noticed a difference in my gameplay here. My shots were a lot more accurate, and my overall experience of the game was much more pleasurable. My hand stayed comfortable over extended periods of time, just like it did while playing CSS. While playing Battlefield 2, I really noticed the sensitivity switching showing its versatility. I could set a medium setting for ground pounding; then crank it all the way up, hop into a tank and have extremely fast and accurate turret action; crank it back down and have precise air movement control. The weights did not have too much of an advantage/disadvantage here, but each individual's preference will be different. " |

i think it's the T-Bun computers... although my diamondback was working fine... but then it seems that there is a lag(delay) in response.
yeah diamondback+exactmat combo is good, it's my first pair of gaming mouse+mat, it's very enjoyable to have your mouse not skipping a frame at all. |

razer will be coming out with a huge clothpad around the same time as the tarantula. size measures 19"x11". just as a comparison, the exactmat measures 13"x10". |

QUOTE(MasterAlvin @ Sep 11 2005, 11:15 PM) i think it's the T-Bun computers... although my diamondback was working fine... but then it seems that there is a lag(delay) in response. err... how much does it cost for diamondback and exactmat?? where can i buy it??yeah diamondback+exactmat combo is good, it's my first pair of gaming mouse+mat, it's very enjoyable to have your mouse not skipping a frame at all. |

I'm using the G5 and it rocks. Bought it from All-IT about 2 weeks ago
Previous to this I was using a MS Intellixplorer 3 mouse. The right mouse button starting sticking on me, so time to upgrade. Got the G5 and never realized how much difference a proper gaming mouse can make. The tilt mouse wheel function gives 2 additional buttons that are great to have and the on the fly DPI settings are something I hadn't experienced before. It has interchangeable weights, but I like a heavier mouse so I am using all the weight in it at the moment. Even the USB cord is extra special and exudes quality construction. Very happy indeed I'm using the mouse on a Func pad and couldn't be happier. Now if I just had the skills to go with the mouse... |

hey guys..i'm using a logitech MX500...
can't seem to get BF2 to reconize my thumb buttons and the extra ones on the top. Only the left, right and scroll can work. I did the registry thing as stated at the official site too. Latest mouseware. Any ideas? |

I tried using the mouse on the rough side, but I always preferred the smooth side anyway.
It works ok on both sides, but the smooth side is silky smooth and works great. I bought my mouse first, but read a review of mouses (mice?) on either www.tomshardware.com or www.anandtech.com which said that the Logitech G5/G7 are the best period... |

actually its my and razer's mistake, razer included a crap driver in their CD which causes the laser to power down = freeze, i've read some forums bout this, they say it can be fixed via using the latest driver, well, i think i screwed up in the installation of that driver...its really not user-friendly at all

QUOTE(ntc3freak @ Oct 11 2005, 11:19 AM) performance wise...of course the razer copperhead, cus it uses Laser tracking, 2k DPI, while MX518 is a 1600 DPI optical mouse.and i prefer razer, cus the mouse is light, logitech's is heavy, and i love light mousies..cus i play quite alot of FPS games that needs instant movement of the mouse to aim. |

more to what you prefer. i prefer my palm resting on the pad just below my mouse with my thumb and 3rd, 4th fingers on the pad also. |

quite a few of us here got the exactmat. the smooth side wears out after about 6 months, so now i'm using the control side which is still smooth enough...still going strong for 7 extra months now. |

if u want to know how good the mouse
u only can test it on FPS game set it to the lowest sensivity then u try to give a big turn...greater than 360...make sure do it fast if u use cheap mouse...u can feel sometime the mouse got stuck and mabuk.... |

ok i never really had the chance to try any razer mouse, but is it worth it to buy one? im eyeing at razer copperhead
Im currently using logitech MX 310. Ok i know, performance/specs wise on paper, my MX 310 vs copperhead = there is quite a gap between these two...but on hands experience...is there any big significant? is the extra here and there performance on copperhead really make any differences in gaming experience? Just asking some feedbacks....i still feel that my mx 310 is still good enough for me. No hiccups @ pening-pening whatsoever compared to my previous mouse A4 Tech brand something like that. Hish...i really need to try the copperhead with my own hands lah. This post has been edited by pokute: Nov 7 2005, 02:01 PM |

go for the diamondback plasma LE if wanna save money.
tho the copperhead is future proof cos you can upgrade its firmware. feel wise, the copperhead is slightly taller and little bit wider. one of the main selling pts of razer before was the on-the-fly-sensitivity adjustments. so lets say for bf2, for infantry you can set the sens low... get into a tank you can set the sens higher abit etc etc. and of cos now logitech has copied it after yrs of logitech users using razer drivers. but yea, if you can afford it go for the copperhead... plus it looks cooler at night This post has been edited by Everdying: Nov 7 2005, 02:13 PM |

I max out sensitivity for BF2 with 2K DPI. Polling I set at 500 since I typically crash if I use the 1K polling.

not new toy...its the toy to be abused
nice eerie green color, while the blue copperhead still lies in the box. my bf2 sens? this is for the diamondback, havent adjusted for the copperhead yet. but uhhh, in windows control panel mouse pointer speed is about 4 clicks to the left. in game setting, its 0.3 with razer drivers. without drivers its 0.2. razer on the fly sens is set at anywhere from 2.5-4.5. and my copperhead with 1k poll no crashes also? oh yea, my diamondback chameleon green is now up for sale at RM130. eh ZX.
razer just debuted a new mouse at WCG. the Krait. ![]() 1600 dpi, optical sensor (not laser or infra red or whatever), and only the typical 3 buttons. so its gonna be relatively cheap. sounds and looks like a viper with a new matt black finish and diamondback sensor. comes out next month. got my Logitech G5 recently, very happy with the performance. Previously, i was using the MX510.. G5's laser tracking 2000dpi sensors, dpi switching-on-the-fly, adjustable mouse weight (or you can leave out the weights and make it super-light) brings it on par if not better than the best Razer out there. But i feel that the Logitech's build quality wins it for me, also the Razer Copperhead felt a bit small on my palm (although i have an average sized hand). It doesn't have the fancy colored lightings, but hey i use the mouse for gaming not to stare at it |
