hi guys

bought my desire last last friday. suprisingly most shop sold out at Shah Alam. found one shop that have stock. the salesman is trying to convince me to buy DHD, but I too have the same thinking with bomberman..

i'm not tempted with the 8mp camera, and i think 4 inch is a bit oversized for a phone.

now learning and reading about custom roms and rooting

hmm still trying to understand all the rooting, roms things..

so i guess first thing to do is to unroot the desire is it?

ah sorry not unroot, but root..hehe newbie here

still donno where to start. maybe i'll just hang on to this stock froyo for at least a month before playing around with roms and etc..hehe..

i might be left wayyy behind all u guys here..but tonight I will try to understand how to root stock desire 2.2 hehe

been looking around but couldn't find answers (either too many pages or i've misslooked)

my questions,
what is the first thing i should do before I root the desire? and

what will happen once I root the desire?
-will it effect all the apps i've installed, photos/stuff in sd card, phone settings etc..

anyone having problem with desire's gps?

my gps seems not working today. restart a few times, but still gps not location my position.

i'm still on stock froyo 2.2 desire.
