You need to USE Reflash kit !!!! -Unrevoked-

You can't just use the older recovery to flash a new recovery if u can't use it !!!

Do it like I did. I had the same problem myself.

I totally agree with you.

I was thinking of waiting because I predicted this would happen but then I measured my pocket in relative to the 4.3" +- 1cm and I don't think I'm going to be very comfortable

I don't have a waist pouch (not required as it would be VERY ridiculous I use it because of my PHONE)

desire size is great

Unless you're a woman and using a big wallet that can slot phone or have handbag then no problem (actually I know someone with HD2 putting phone in bag, had the same idea LOL)

Oh about the newer CPU Snappy, here are some interesting information about the 1st gen and 2nd gen. (For Techie ppl only but if u dont really care, just want to know some diff)

As we had discussed before, the newer one performance in GPU is twice as better, smaller in size! (45nm - 65nm) <--- htc claimed this chip was less power-consuming than 1st gen but it doesn't justify 1230mAh :l so it will probably last a day (as usual *sigh). Other than that, nothing special I guess. HSDPA doesn't really matter to us since we won't get 14.4 that soon.. which is very f***ing fast LOL. XD

Newer gen of gps, guess it will work better in gps too...maybe not by a lot idk, need to check what gps company they embedded in the system...
tl;dr - for specs, HD is better (even in hardware as well), for better portability, Desire is better since 3.7" and lighter. It depends how you use the phone.

oh another up about HD is the HTCSense.com but I only saw 'ONE' thing good about it so don't think it matters unless you root and such (not sure if the site will work with that by then).

How did the 2.5.0.7 Clockworkmod get into your phone in the first place?

You downloaded something like reflash_package.exe from unrevoked site right?
<If this isn't the way you did it, look @ red colour> If you know this method, read on..

Now run the reflash tool .exe
*Do not plug in your phone to PC YET*
Press Ctrl+R (or under File, Custom Recovery..)

Find that 2.5.1.8 img you just downloaded.

Plug in, detect, press Ok, and don't do dangerous shit on ur pc for few mins then once it says ur done, check your phone's recovery version.
^ Mind you I tried .zip way as mentioned by others, it will NOT work.

This *may* be the only way to do it.

If you DID NOT do this way, DO IT THIS WAY.
Or repeat however method you root your phone but change the sequence with 2.5.1.8.
The result should be the same.


P.S: The moment you can't perform nandroid backups, something is wrong with the recovery. Spamming wipes is a bad idea <since on old rom>, you should always aim for a backup first and not wipe spam and try again unless u just got your phone then..it's okay I guess :l

that is a very strange situation. I root my phone 2-3 times with 2.5.0.7 before using the same unrevoked never encountered this. Try to reroot/reflash your phone with the 3.3 unrevoked default rom (as mentioned) if cannot,

re-use the one u had before and flash with the default rom, if that is working, then ctrl+h with the new rom and try again without doing any settings. If still have problem then post here.

This may take time, hopefully the 3.3 one works... I don't even know my unrevoked version now that's been mentioned lmao. I just go unrevoked site and download their latest | w/e available

Hmm, ok. gonna put like 5-7 different radio zip in my phone and try.

At home, the wifi reception is okay (full bar) since the distance is like...3m MAX.

If they wanted to, they would have.

Not sure if it would work with rooted phones.

Personally I think it's very likely we won't get it.

But, meh nothing *NEW* tech from it aside from things that App already CAN do so.. :L

When I was using it, I never faced that, start already turned off so no, it didn't auto sync.

Everyone's splash screens looks so damn cool.
