ext 2 3 4 are types, you can only set this on Linux OR a linux VM (Virtual Machine like VMWare) * Note- need this for S-Off too!
But usually when u partition, it's ext 2 by default. Just partition your SD via recovery, it still works. This post has been edited by ShinnKQ: Jan 24 2011, 12:30 AM |

QUOTE(woonyoung91 @ Jan 24 2011, 07:20 PM) Guys need help. And to your question, it is True.If the phone change motherboard, the imei code changes together? just got a 2nd hand phone, but the receipt+box+warranty card shows another imei code. reasoning = changed motherboard. True/False? Check with SIS if the phone had previously performed a warranty claim/mobo change. URGENTLY! *INCASE STOLEN PHONE O.O* Alongside that, ask why need to change mobo. (I wonder if it was due to overheat... This post has been edited by ShinnKQ: Jan 24 2011, 07:28 PM |

QUOTE(rattan @ Jan 24 2011, 07:35 PM) Yeah I experience overheating today. Phone went up to 43.5 Celsius, switched it off for around 3-4 minutes, then back to normal 30 - 33.5 Celsius. Yeah, tread with care on temperatures with this phone. The mobo is quite fragile. It may be able to hold off for a few times but in a long run, the phone mobo lifespan = gg'ed.Added on January 24, 2011, 8:14 pm QUOTE(rattan @ Jan 24 2011, 07:54 PM) Anyone here tried 32MB micro sd card for Desire ? Can support ? Will it lag the phone ? Or maybe consume more battery ? 32 MB? WHAT ON EARTH DO YOU NEED A 32MB uSD card for?!Deciding to get 16GB class 2, if no side effect then will consider to go for 32GB class 2 32Gb Class 2!!! I might as well, share me the price for class 2 and 4 for 32gb ^^ Thanks Added on January 24, 2011, 8:21 pmMIUI users, I need help. Something is wrong ! SERIOUSLY WRONG!!!! QUOTE(woonyoung91 @ Jan 24 2011, 09:21 PM) Hey guys, after i partition my sdcard through rom manager, i need to format it with windows? O.O? cause they say cant use. True? You have to disable signature verification unless you s-off'ed.Added on January 24, 2011, 9:26 pmHey guys, how do i toggle signature verification in recovery mode? help pls! You don't HAVE TO FORMAT IT. You should format BEFORE partitioning! LOL All you need to do is check if the SD is running FAT32. if it isn't, use the SDcard slot with micro sd card and read it on ur PC and just format it to FAT32 if it isn't. (NORMALLY it should be unless you changed to ex-FAT or NTFS *Very unlikely*) |

QUOTE(pandazhun @ Jan 24 2011, 10:07 PM) connect my phone to pc, ch arge only then switch it off then press volum + power then wait till the sd check finish but I don't see Hboot usb under sim lock...nothing is under sim lock... so i pressed power on fast boot to restart then tried a few times more, then I tink once i choose recovery then it goes to ! , then I pull out battery then now stil cant find hboot usb... You missed out steps not mentioned in some root guides (Like me, possibly).Added on January 24, 2011, 10:09 pmmain menu has hboot usb plug but din see hboot usb under sim lock .... so how? You MUST install HTC Sync to your PC first because it contains HTC USB drivers you need. In order to root, you must remove the HTC Sync. (LEAVE THE USB drivers alone!) Once you've done this, you aren't suppose to look for the HBOOT USB under the SIM lock but ABOVE Fastboot! (Only for newer Desires (SLCD possibly?)) I stuck at this step too! Don't follow that! TO NOTICE IT, While under Bootloader (That white page with those 4 options, unplug ur USB and plug and you will see the difference) Once that is correct, LEAVE it. RUN UNREVOKED, MAKE SURE your unrevoked is using 2.5.1.8 version NOT 2.5.0.7! It won't work properly for PVT4 devices! Once ur done, it will straight bring u to recovery, congrats by then. Do NOT disconnect your USB at ANYTIME during that time. Good luck. Anymore info just post here again unless you're seriously still stuck, PM. QUOTE(pandazhun @ Jan 24 2011, 10:34 PM) i have installed and removed my htc sync and I tink i have the HTC USB driver still. how to check for the unrevoked version as I followed exactlly the guide from first page for unrevoked, I now found the super user permission on my app list d, although I have never selected any Hboot usb option but I leave it when it's at the bootloader and I just skip to the device manager step and do all the steps.... offcoz skip the steps to choose hboot usb again after choosing the update software... YES it is!then my phone keep reboot for few times then now it's starting then I check the app list got superuse permission... is this right? You have rooted your phone! Can you shut down your phone and go into fastboot and access your recovery? If you can, check the version. Make sure it's 2.5.1.8. If it is 2.5.0.7, try performing a Nandroid BACKUP. If it doesn't work, you need to reflash AGAIN using 2.5.1.8. If you can make a nandroid, then do it! Wipe your phone (cache/reset/dalvic) then go flash a rom of your choice :] And you're done. |

QUOTE(pandazhun @ Jan 24 2011, 10:55 PM) now I'm doing the nandroid backup d, so how to wipe the phone???? decided to try leedroid 1st.so i downloading thw leedroid 2.3dwith a2sd correct or without a2sd? Without A2SD+ would be faster but less storage space.Depends on you. If you want space then get A2SD+ but make sure u have partitioned your SD card via recovery. IF your nandroid is working, wipe your phone. MOVE your nandroid folder (Find it) and put it into your PC. Look for Partition SD under Advanced. U don't need 2.5.1.8 if your .0.7 is working ya~ woonyoung91, google it first. They may already have the answer. This post has been edited by ShinnKQ: Jan 24 2011, 11:23 PM |
