QUOTE(Irzani @ Jan 16 2011, 09:42 AM) At first by October 2009, I only got RM 4000 budget to buy an Acer in any retail market, then increase to Rm 4600 due someone recommendation to buy Dell XPS 16. Later, I learn about Sager for it's stable product line and it become 5200 ... and just by few month ago I increase the budget to RM 5600 after I learned the Asus G73 series which is more cheap and powerful ... but now, the new line come out and I need at least RM 6000, and another RM 500 for shipping cost Hahah..!! No need to do that bro, I bought my G53JW-A1 and just a few weeks later they announce the new one with sandy bridge.. but i'm still as happy as ever since this laptop satisfies all my need dy.. imo, I dun perceive a need to upgrade to sandy bridge yet.. I got the money since October 2009 ... but still didn't purchase one ... i got a serious problem Later if I choose a wife .. I dunno how long yo .. But if u havent made ur purchase yeah, just wait till they release the one with sandy bridge + new GPU then make ur purchase I suggest..! haha Added on January 16, 2011, 4:04 pm QUOTE(teamloks @ Jan 16 2011, 03:47 PM) A bit straining at 100%, but u can always use the function to enlarge things on ur screen... like up to 125% lah, 150% lah...This post has been edited by lookig4room: Jan 16 2011, 04:04 PM |

i think battery is of no concern as i believe we gamers would be likely to anchor their notebooks to a plethora of peripherals.. as for me I have 20" monitor, keyboard, mouse, 2.1 speakers, 3 external hard disk, 7-port USB hub and one thumb drive attached.... i can't imagine taking my notebook out..! haha

QUOTE(DoubleU @ Jan 16 2011, 10:32 PM) lol? ahem... desktop overkill? why external monitor, might as well save the money get something like the GT660R with a lower reso screen, same specs... i think there was a low reso G53jw too.. GT660R comes with GTX 285M right? I was looking for something better as I buy laptop once every 3-4 years or so everything thing else i approve External monitor as I like my monitor big..! And 2 screen setup is also pretty. 5.1? I think hard to find space for that lar... haha |

QUOTE(DoubleU @ Jan 16 2011, 11:13 PM) Sorry, the GX660. i5 something something.... HD5870m GDDR5 so... nearly the same performance, better on older games, dx9/10 not 11... 1229USD... so... slightly cheaper icic, well i like asus since i got an asus laptop before this that didn't let me down much for the 3-4 years i owned it..2 screen setup, laptop + external monitor display? When i switch to desktop its gonna be something like that AW prototype 5760 x 1080 screens.. or just some ultra high resolution (2560x something?), maybe a 30" dual screens? i won't be switching to desktop. im an international student. >< |

Hmm, i think you should go G73.. 1920 x 1080 on 15.6" screen is a little bit stretching my eyes.. but then you should be prepared.. I believe G73 is quite big-sized for a laptop..

QUOTE(DoubleU @ Jan 22 2011, 02:46 AM) you can permanently change that too. I did it for my desktop which i hooked up to my tv so i can use it from far away. Yeaah but the problem lies in that I use dual screen, so when it's on my 20" monitor, I need to return the text to normal size, that's why its inconvenient for me QUOTE(jaycn67 @ Jan 22 2011, 02:52 AM) Heys guys, this monster ASUS Lamborghini VX7 Price? ><Powered by a 2.0GHz Intel Core i7-2630QM quad-core processor (Yep, that’s the new Sandy Bridge architecture), a staggering 16GB of RAM, and NVIDIA GTX 460M graphics with an unprecedented 3GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory OMG, 3GB RAM graphic card><......and look at his look, is cum to challenge G53JW><...the fastest notebook ASUS has ever made. .............WOW IT REALLY SHOCK ME A LOT....http://campuslife.asus.com/news/index/105 |
