IMO, 3D as a whole is just a gimmick. Its not worth spending even a cent for it.

The image quality is worse, due to all the fancy 3D effects and it actually require your monitor to be 120Hz to pump out enough fps to run the game smoothly.

good to know...hehehehehe... tried playing Crysis 2 on it with 3D...seems that my eyes/brain can't cope up...coz I got a splitting headache after that...huhuhuhuh

Carried out internal cleaning of my G73JH... the fan was noisy and becoming annoying.. huhuhuhu... cleaned the fans, did a repaste (ICD7) on my gpu n cpu... put everthing back together, ALMOST missed out a screw... sweat.gif sweat.gif
now temps are down, but my fans are still at times, became noisy...hmm wut to do? change new fan??huhuhuhu...

Here is the gpu temp before cleaning n repaste, sorry forgot to take temps of cpu and snapshot..
TSS 1 69
TSS 2 80
TSS 3 74

Furmark Test, stabilize at 102~104(max)

After cleaning (found a lump of dust on each fans!!), GPU temps are
TSS 1 51
TSS 2 50
TSS 3 51

Furmark Test, stabilize at (69~70)

CPU temps after cleaning, are 47~50 on each core..

Snapshot temps after cleaning

The fans will become super noisy when the temp of your GPu increase above 90 degree celsius. I have that prob too and I repasted it. However, the Arctic Silver 5 was not that good though sad.gif I wanna try IC7. Where did you get yours?  smile.gif
*
I got my IC7 from Viperion @ Mark.. hehehe.. actually i bought from him waaaaaaaaaay back..waaay back when my G73 was brand new hehehehe tongue.gif tongue.gif .. didn't had the time or even motivation to repaste, until recently when my fans started to become noisy to a point that my frens started joking that my G73 fans are noisier than the a/c compressor running at full blast....huhuhuhu shakehead.gif shakehead.gif and the best part was, they were right!

now fans are cleaned (found a lump of dust on each fans) but still at certain times, the fans still became noisy...hmmm maybe the dust already fark up the fan....hmmmmm hmm.gif hmm.gif

any suggestion on replacing the fans???

shocking.gif Wow. That was long long time ago. Oh yea, didn't see Viperion bro online recently.  smile.gif

How loud you fan would be? Mine will get noisy when only I play games for quite a long time under room temp (27 degree celsius).  hmm.gif
*
yaa..a looooooooong time ago..heheh like i said, i didn't had the time, patience and motivation to do it until recently..heheheh....

hmm...how loud? i can't really say...but an annoying grinding sound, and it's usually when the cpu usage is higher..(cpu fan is the culprit)...gpu fans is still ohk..even when i'm playing games on full settings...

but is there a choice of changing the fans?? hmm.gif hmm.gif

Oh my mistake. A1 is 2 years standard. XA1 is only 1 year. Sorry for the confusion.
