Guys just got my notebook today. Wanna ask how the heck do you put the notebook to fit nicely into the bag. It seems like the edges are close to protruding out of the bag provided.
p/s: Notebook is EXCELLENT !!! Best notebook I have ever had my hands on ever.

Guys thanks for the info. Might op for another bag also as really don't like the notebook edge to be protruding out. any bump and there goes the screen.
ian913: You should open it there and atleast check your screen. When I got mine turn on the screen was broken. Instead of black it showed RED and ghosting. Lucky they had another unit there so swap.

jaycn67: Sweet !!! Thanks bro..
Guys/Gals : Have decided to bump up the RAM from stock 4GB to 12GB. Should be quite straight forward right ? Remove keyboard then should have 2 slots available to slot in right? Thanks.
the manual says there should be 4 slots..1st slot is used factory build onto the board 4GB so leaves 3 more slots... some where on the notebook.
question: On the website it states the audio is "Built-in Speakers And Microphone /EAX Advanced HD 5.0 / THX TruStudio"
But the driver is "Realtek Audio Driver" anyone can help me on this.

ASUS G53JW 2nd Hard Drive Install by XOTIC PC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev8y8xlCdHEI think this model should be similar to the sx. Probs will upgrade 4 gb as the other memory slots are quite tricky to install. Plus then it can run dual channell.

Guys, I know I posted this question b4 but I cant seem to understand it.
Specs: Audio : Built-in Speakers And Microphone,EAX Advanced HD 5.0,THX TruStudio.
However there is nothing on the Control Panel nor any software to indicate this. So does this notebook actually have this feature ?
Or is it only applicable when your playing specific games that have this feature to enable it ??

kahsin: use this command to run the event viewer "eventvwr.msc /s"
basically, click on start then paste above command in the "Search programs and files" and press enter.
The event viewer will then load. You will be able to view all logs that were captured on your notebook prior to the crash.

something odd is happening to mine...now the backlit keyboard is not working in windows.. = /
but during boot up is okay...
this happen after a windows update... sucks if have to reinstall...
fixed : Reinstall back the utility driver..sheeshhh thanks windows update !!
Guys, Have bought 4GB RAM today. Installed it under the keyboard "DIMM SLOT 4" according to the manual. But the notebook bios and windows cant detect it. Anyone installed via DIMM Slot 1 & 4 ? Or must be in sequence 1 & 2 ??
Any advice is much appreciated.

Bluzzy- Yup used DIMM Slot 4
Yups...inserted it twice..to make sure its sits in properly. And there is no way to put it on the wrong side as there is an indicator pin. Faulty RAM ?
Tomorrow will bring my notebook to the shop and try with another stick and see how.
So you guys install on DIMM Slot 1 and 4 no issues ?
riku2replica: Yeah..initially that was my conclusion that it must be in that sequence.

QUOTE(Volt @ Dec 1 2011, 12:51 AM) I also face that problem at the first time but i then realize that you have to slightly/gently push the ram into the connector before clipping it Dude, 3rd times a charm..and yes the RAM had to be pushed then clip. Oddly never had this sorta problems with my previous dell. Anyway.... Would like to confirm that I am running on DIMM 1 and DIMM 4.
