Haha, ya, Riku, I will definitely have to get over it.

I saw ur sig for 2011 plans, a G73SH?
Cool, equipped with ATI? =)
*
that was months ago. I'm just gonna re-finance and see if G74 will be worthy my money.

The naked eye 3D technology I saw at CeBIT 2011 at Hannover proved that I'm not that 3D guys too.  The claimed 3D effects only will make my eyes and head spin . . . LOL!
*
I can't see 3D throught the glasses, i still the red/green color interlaced even with the glasses. Though i dun feel headache about it. rclxub.gif

How much is the price of G53 ? in RM of course.
And which has the best sound system ? AW m15x or Asus G35?

M15x has the same spec as this G53 asus...
Do tell ..  notworthy.gif
*
Around 5k at least. But shipping to MY might take some time. Asus G53 speaker sounds is decent/soft from most NBR complains. Nor M15x. most ppl would opt for Amp/External Sounds card.

Afterburner? Why spend cash on customizing it while Alienware already provided u without the lighting fx customization?

sorry for the noob question...

is G74 the latest model?

what its advantage over the G73sw?
*
G74 is the latest and un-release model yet.

Advantage over G73SW:
Maybe Better Graphic Card - GTX 560M ( Raw performance over GTX 460m still not sure)
Change of Vent Design, probably cooler than G73.
One lock to access the back panel.

Disadvantages(Personal Opinion) :
Back vent looks like lambo car vent instead of stealth fighter.
Still the same additional ram slots beneath keyboard.

Added on April 27, 2011, 2:41 pmG74 up for pre-order(only slovak though)

Pre-order for other region may begin in May 5[Unconfirm/Rumored].

So no additional extras apart from just the Sandy Bridge proc eh, thought so. I need a laptop which i can carry around. Trying to move the G73 around will give me a back ache for life...so gotta let go my precious  cry.gif
*
I have to agree with Pewufod. Performance gap is not big. G73 weight is considerately better than alienware.

Hi guys,

Humbly requesting your help here.
I'm thinking of selling off my G73JH soon because of no more time to play games. It was bought from Singapore in Apr/May '10.
Its original box (plus contents) and backpack is still with me.
What should be an acceptable price for me to let it go?
*
It depends on how long has it been used and condition. Usually would be 4k to 4.5k for 1 year usage. Its up to u to put the price though.

Ignore that dude, reply his offer is unreasonable.

You guys are probably right, seems market is a bit damp at the moment in MY. I'll try my luck selling overseas.

BTW as I recall the warranty is one year right? or is it 2 year? I had it for abt 11 months already...how did ezzyvamp get warranty for so long?
*
A1,A2,A3(Backpack and mouse bundled) ones will be 2 years global.
XA1(No Backpack & mouse bundle) with the X will be 1 year global.

I would say wait for benchmark first. GTX560M and GTX460M performance may differ by 2-3% unless nVidia did something awesome inside. laugh.gif

Oh, they drop the price ehh? I guess they got competition from ppl importing Sager or getting Alienware from Dell MY.

I would say most ppl who wanted so called fancy "Gaming Laptop" would opt for Alienware, those who knows value for hardware would opt for Sager. While, for Asus... Uh... its somewhere between the design and the hardware.

Well, Processor Performance gap still not that wide. The only thing that separated HM55 and HM65 is the Sata 3(6Gbps) support.
Asus did not allow Intergrated graphic switching in bios either.

hmm then if given a rm7.5k budget limit , which is more worth it ? VX7 or just get the G53?

If u have 7.5k ringgit budget, and u will remain in malaysia for the next few years. then dell alienware.
if ur going overseas for study, why not asus for its international warranty.

G74 Promo video is up.
GenTechPC has G74SX/G53SX up for pre-order.

FYI, Reseller claims G53SX will be using glassless 3D panel. nod.gif

HD5870M still pwns both GTX 460M, and GTX 560M.

FYI, GTX 560M is a better performer on some DX10, Most DX11 games. HD5870m still performs well on DX9, some DX10 games.

However, GTX 560M may have higher overclockability potential according to NBR feedback.

Checked out one of the "Asus" Store in Midvalley yesterday, they can order it for u but u have to pay RM500 as deposit. Was thinking if G53SW-3DE will be a good choice. LOL.
