illegears g53sx.. no 3d.. 1080p full hd screen... bigger and faster HDD.. more ram... compared to mine..

G74SX-A2 is more superior lol.

Btw, confirm with the shop i order, stock not yet available. I already suspected delays, so prolly gonna wait another 1 week time.

Confirmed with the shop I ordered, stock which are not available will be placed with Asus Malaysia, not waited until stock available(which means they will provide u when there are stock ready left).

G53SX 3DE demo unit is available at one of the Ground Floor Low yat store. That store has Toshiba Qosmio displayed as well.

One guy from Sri Computers in Lowyat asked me as well, why do i need such a powerful laptop.

Duh, i always run 3-4 virtual machines as i'm in the networking/hacking field and of course gaming. I'll need a powerful machine that can cope up, that's what made my BenQ S57 died lol

Woot good to know. But the G53SX, they wrote there max 8GB only but got 2 SO-DIMM slot. Is it proc restricted or what? Because i plan to upgrade the i7-2630M to something more powerful in future, maybe Ivy Bridge 

G53/G73/G74 has 4 slots of RAM available.


From Manual:
DIMM slot 1 and 4 are located under the keyboard and slot 2 and 3 are at the bottom side.

FYI,The DIMM slot 1 is hidden and always pre-installed with a memory in the factory.

The thing is, they only bring stock in that is only enough to fulfill the orders, they don't keep stock.

They are collecting orders to get quantity discount from ASUS, it is too risky to keep the stock, G series are not very high demanded in Malaysia.

Probably idle temp. I suggest vent cleaning + repasting.

around 55+ is my ideal... 70+ when start do multi tasking. 80+ when play games   is it ok?? feel not confirtable o..    can consider 2 months o'd 

@mr_47, just try vacuuming the vents first, usually helps quite abit. You can open up vacuum too. Repaste only necessary if removing the dust doesn't reduce the heat

actually im on a 5400rpm.. its not taht bad.. it still feels quite zippy when accessing programs.

but im planning to SSD in the future 

guys , if i were to buy a gaming laptop , should i go for the asus g53sx or sager np1850 ?

im gonna rape every stores in lyp to get this model. been waiting for quite a while now.

BTW, Sager NP8130 is better lol
