Hsbc visa is almost useless if one does not always shop (especially at Mvalley).
DA Plat MC at least got Sunday rebates & very efficient BT service. If Plat Visa, go watch movie often to get the most benefit frm the card :lol
Oh ya, congrats for the OCBC Ti approval. Must thank the agent as well wink.gif

Oh, thanks...haih my hsbc actually collected quite many points dy so felt a bit sayang to cancel it atm lol. do u knw how many points to waive RM50 GST? n yeah have to thank that agent, actually an OCBC staff n very good!

I'm afraid 7k pts is not enough to redeem FULL GST waiver but 50% waiver.
After using 5,000 pts to redeem RM25 GST waiver, you have only 2,000 pts remaining. What can 2k pts redeem? sweat.gif  unless you keep spending to accumulate points.
Yes, 5% of the approved balance (BT amount). The remaining balance is interest-free, hence the name 0% BT.

Yep, it's not sufficient. but when its near to my HSBC card anniversary, it wil reach abt approx 9500 (fr autobilling n misc). Then by that time i can do redemption dy.

anyone have cancelled their CIMB DA Mastercard? for CIMB DA MC, can we just call in to cancel the CC instead of writing a cancellation letter?

No need to write any letter. Can just cancel over the phone without the need to surrender the physical card.

that's great!

Hi, just wanna share with you all about my application(s) for OCBC Ti MC which I have applied (but failed) since Sept 2010.

24-8-2010 - left my contacts at OCBC web

25-8-2010 - CS called

26-8-2010 - sent in application & relevant docs via email to OCBC CS

14-9-2010 - Application unsuccessful, "Fail under scorecard"

28-9-2010 - Got OCBC Ti MC application reject letter

21-9-2010 - Agent told me no need wait til after 6 mth & she will resubmit my application next mth.

22-9-2010 - reapply OCBC Ti MC.

1-10-2010 - reapply OCBC Ti MC (again! but failed under TIH coz my office nobody answer the call they can't verify that i'm an employee of my com sleep.gif") she said for my case actually can get approval but sigh!

17-1-2011 - my OCBC CS appealed for my application and request me to send in the required docs.

19-1-2011 - submitted the required docs via email to OCBC CS

21-1-2011 - submitted latest e- bank statement (which has just came out that particular day, required to verify my dec's salary tho)

25-1-2011 - OCBC Ti MC finally APPROVED!!! n the CL is 2.5x my salary.

1-2-2011 - Got my OCBC Ti MC thru thru post! (i'm at East Msia so it's a bit slower, but I'm impressed that I receive the card before CNY as I had to wait like almost 3 weeks to get my HSBC Visa CC after approval)

Finally after 6 mths only I got my OCBC Ti MC approved!

Should have approved my card since half a year ago then I wouldn't even apply for HSBC Visa & CIMB DAMC T.T.

i suggest you go to any bank ask the card services executive to explain these things to u, it would be clearer when things are explained face-to-face. or u may call to any bank to ask.

Good day guys, I haven’t applied any cc before, and I doesn’t really know how cc really work  hmm.gif  and I hope u guys can tell me more about cc..  icon_question.gif

For example,

A normal classic cc
IF I buy a LED TV which cost me RM 3,000, at the end of the month, the statement comes and I settled them straight away, how much interest do I have to pay?

And if I pay according to the “minimum payment” at the statement every month, how much interest do I actually have to pay until I fully settled this RM 3,000?

Added on February 24, 2011, 10:44 pmbtw, just wanna share sth bt Maybank Cust Service. My friend went to Maybank (Sarawak branch) ask them abt the Maybankard2, during CNY time and OMG they don't even knw abt the launch of Maybankard 2. A lot of answer the exec fr the cards service dept couldn't answer. Then, I actually left my number at the Maybankard 2 website a few days before CNY (early of Feb) and til now only I receive their call...the CS happily highlighted the benefits of the card until I asked her "how about overseas transaction fee? i knw AMEX is abt 2.5% how bt VISA/MASTER" she couldn't answer me and say will get back to tat particular quest later but she never call me back yet on the same day LOL! then i told her further that I'm actually insterested with Master instead of Visa, she told me have to wait til Apr/May. Then when I ask her if the features of Visa/Master are the same? She say she couldn't answer cause Master is not launch yet sleep.gif".
