Just a note to members who recently had their DA CC upgraded from Gold > Plat. I already have the card for around 1 year and managed to view the CC in CIMB Clicks until few days ago when the CC is disjoin from CIMB Clicks. I called CS and after some troubleshooting, they let me know the card does not have a pin and I asked I have been able to view the card in CIMB Clicks for the past 1 year and they replied they are doing some sort of system upgrade and I have to go through the hassle of applying the pin again rclxub.gif shakehead.gif

nops. they just send me the card to home without pin.
even the card number automatically appear on cimbclicks before the card arriving at home ~
The same process applies to me as well and it worked for a year [even GST was charged to me] and all the while i have been making payment using CIMB Clicks before it gets disjoin sweat.gif

I get the error message 013 - Invalid Account

For those using MBB2Kard Amex, when the transaction has been posted, any immediate update to the TP? I noticed my transaction gets posted but the TP is still showing 0 [1st transaction since I got the card]

I made an online transaction using MBB2Kard Amex and the transaction is posted but no TP acquired for that transaction only. And my 1st statement for the card, 5% cashback is not reflected for those transactions I made on weekend. Is this normal. unsure.gif

Question: In order to be eligible for MBB2Kard Amex TP, do I need to swipe at the terminal?

i read somewhere that online transaction not eligible for 5% , you have to swipe at the machine to get it, not sure about the TP

Called up CS and based on the explanation, the TP will be credited into the account within 3 days from the posting date. Not all transactions will be reflected immediately. I shall wait another few days.

Thanks guys.
Below taken directly from http://www.ocbccards.com.my/titaniumRebates_tncEN.aspx

Eligible merchants and their associated merchant category codes (“MCC”) under the OCBC Titanium Cash Rebate Programme are as follow:

5% Cash rebate on Petrol, Groceries, Utility Bills and Dining
i) Petrol/Gas Stations (MCC codes 5541 and 5542)
ii) Grocery Stores (MCC codes 5411, 5422 and 5451)
iii) Utility Bills (MCC codes 4814,s 4815, 4816,4821, 4899 and 4900)
iii) Restaurant (MCC codes 5811, 5812, 5813 and 5814

1% Cash rebate on other categories
i) Any merchant categories that are not listed under the above 5% Cash rebate Petrol, Groceries, Utility Bills and Dining

-----------------
Anyhow, a quick google gave me the conclusion that the MCC code refers to retailer type and not the actual brand name.

So, if Tesco fall under groceries, and I grab a hdtv for rm2000, I can max out the 5% (Rm100) rebate straight up? That sweet?

I applied on Feb 2nd and have the card delivered to me on Feb 14th. Quite fast though considering lots of holidays in between.

Some questions;
01. Any ways to know which MCC code a particular merchant belongs to instead of knowing it at the end month statement in the bill.
02. I get to know OCBC paymaster facility will give additional cashback if we subscribe certain bill payments but what about direct auto debit from the merchant itself? [eg: I enrolled in Maxis auto debit]

thx

The friendly lady told me that credit cards issued by banks in Malaysia (even HSBC - the largest bank in Hong Kong) are flagged as high risk and thus all payments made through Malaysian credit cards will be automatically declined. Anyway, she told me that she will make an exception for me. There is one catch though. I must pay for the train ticket online at the time we agreed at our phone conversation earlier. They will open the system for Malaysian credit card for half and hour only and after that, the system will be closed to Malaysian credit card again. Haih ... malulah Malaysia ...  sweat.gif  doh.gif
Any existing Platinum credit card.

This restriction is applicable to swiping the card at the terminal itself? [not online transaction]

2. Are you sure OCBC PayMaster give 'additional cashback' on top of 5%? How much % is it? I need a black & white statement to believe.

This is what I can recall when OCBC Ti is a hit. Is it during last year when OCBC is having some promo? Some forummers mentioned about this feature and this attaracts my attention if we can get additional cashback, this is indeed very good. Else nothing we can do about it.

Any OCBC Ti users who subscribed to paymaster can confirm this?

thx smile.gif
