I have to agree with you. I was a "victim" before. vmad.gif
Every block of RM20 will need cumulative spending of RM400 (assume 5% cashback).
I don't like this.

OCBC Titanium's cash rebate is creditted on Statement Date.

i know its credited on statement date.

but how about the entitlement?
assume my statement date is 20th, i just got my statement for Feb yesterday and i have fully utilized the RM50 rebate, then today, 21st, first day of my new statement cycle, and i pay RM1k utility bills the no usage for the rest of the month.

on 20th March statement, will i get RM50 rebate or no rebate? hmm.gif

if got rebate, then its by statement month, if no rebate then its calendar month.

any OCBC TI old timer can advice on this? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

You will get RM50 rebate for the spend on 21 Feb 2011 in your 20 March 2011 statement.

IMHO, using the term Statement Month is inaccurate. The rebate is creditted on Statement Date.

statement month is accurate because it does not follow calendar month.

i.e. if your statement date is 12th of the month, one is entitled to RM50 rebate from 1) 13 Feb to 12 March, 2) 13 March to 12 April, 3) 13 April to 12 May etc.

calendar month would have given the impression it was from 1 Feb to 28 Feb, 1 Mar to 31 Mar  which would be inaccurate for OCBC Titanium

Remains to be seen which system MBB2 is following.

yes you will get your RM50 rebate provided your statement date was 20 Feb
