03-27727500 maybank just called me said someone use my cc to online purchase monavie, its a health drink i think for 1k plus.
he asked when i last used my card, i open m2u and checked and he double confirmed my last transaction.
so he cancel my card on the spot after i confirm i did not, ask me to collect new card next week and file that i did not use it for the purchase.
i cannot access the card now in m2u, others still fine.
i remembered i purchase something from some shop and he write down my cc no. will look for the receipt and share asap.
anything else i need to do now to avoid future problem? thanks, first time kena such thing.

QUOTE(David83 @ Feb 22 2011, 10:03 PM) Jotting down the CC number is pretty common. Not just on physical receipt but also to some certain computerized system (computer based cash register). I encountered several occasions but I didn't bother or pay excessive attention. Since we're on this topic, wondering if this jotting activity is legal from law perspective or privacy on the other hand? when he jot down im already feel not so good. i understand why he jot down because im in retail before too. mean while i also paiseh and did not ask or stop him. he can see my name on card, and he got the card no., he only need to remember the last 3 digit. or maybe jot down in some other paper ! should not legalize it.

QUOTE(David83 @ Feb 22 2011, 10:06 PM) Since you have filed a dispute with the bank. Let the bank handles it. On the other hand, I doubt that you have sufficient evidence to make a case that clearly point the fraud is really done by that cashier from the watch shop. even they are the last retail shop who swipe my card and jot down my info in last half year ? statement on show that im only using it for tnb, tmb, digi via m2u.

cannot see statement or anything already.. are any automatic online transaction limit ? or can we set it for safety purpose. (however, in legal way, in fraud case max payment we must pay is only rm200. my lawyer friend who deal with bank cc and lelong told me) wonder why that guy only use 1k+ and not more..

1. u have to pay 3000 when the statement come. interest charge come in if you did not pay, or did not pay full amount at next statement. 2. dont pay minimum payment, it is beginning of nightmare. buy only what you can pay, and pay what u must pay.
