plan to apply for maybank 2, however I have 2 cards already with them Ikhwan Platinum and Amex Gold CC. Amex Gold CC only 4k limit. once received this maybank 2 I plan to cancel both Ikhwan and Amex Gold CC.

which one is the wise move, apply by calling them but I'm sure they will assign limit based on Amex Gold CC. another alternative is to apply using application form and attach all docs. I hope to have Maybank 2 plat to replace Ikhwan Plat

I would like to advice to those who use any CC which offer 0% interest for the first 6-8 months (like OCBC and PB previously) to control their spending. some of my friends got trap even though before this they always pay CC in full. at the end of those 6-8 months they discovered that they have spent beyond their capability, good lesson to be learn.
