Previously CIMB cc holders with over RM 75k credit limit entitled as Preferred customer, I wondered if it is still applicable now?

For MBB WMC, card holders entitled for priority service at any branch just by showing the cc itself.

Wondered if the new Maybankard 2 AMEX entitled for any AMEX cashback promo in the future?

Just checked with MBB CS, Visa is available now but MC need to wait until April

CIMB used to be very aggressive two years back, but been very arrogant since last year. From housing loan to credit card.

I also asked MBB CS but this officer said generic AMEX cc cannot be converted to this Maybankard 2 AMEX (with MBB logo). The officer also further explains that due to different point system, TP vs MR

There is one instance I received 8 characters security pin slip from PBB. However PBB denied having 8 characters, so in the end got another new card with another 6 characters security pin sent to me.

Maybankard 2 AMEX also entitled the 15% cashback promo then it is really unfair to existing AMEX holders. We cancel now & apply also we lose the previously accumulated cash back.

Loss means existing AMEX holders already accumulate 15% cashback promo cannot convert to this Maybankard 2 AMEX immediately to enjoy 5x points & 5% cashback. Not to mention there is no conversion available from generic AMEX to this Maybankard 2, therefore needs to cancel. On top of tax I just paid the gst (for my generic AMEX Plat) right before this Maybankard 2 implemented, so means another round of gst if I cancel & reapply.

However those holding existing MBB Visa or MC are allowed to convert. This is verified by two officers at the 1U card center. However not too sure for those AMEX with MBB logo though.

Been thinking this way too of getting the extra cc. The main problem is MBB does not offer flexibility to existing holders & their mind only thinking of wooing new customers. This is almost the same frustration I faced years back when I tried upgrading from gold to platinum but was declined again & again by MBB despite with other platinum cc reference. However during their MBB Treats Fair in Mid Valley, there were offering platinum (especially the Petronas one) like nobody business even for other gold card holders. In the end I terminated the gold & reapply for my current AMEX Plat, I feel better now as a renewed customer. But now again this Maybankard 2 conversion problem.

Let's see how it goes as I am holding way too many credit cards right now.

Do anyone know that booking air ticket via travel agent entitle for the cc insurance coverage? Or must we book directly from the airlines only entitle the coverage?

By the way, in a big dilemma whether to book with the Maybankard 2 AMEX (5x point + 5% rebate, cap at RM 50) or Maybankard World MC (5x point every RM 2 + insurance coverage of RM 2 million).

Is it normal for travel agents like Mayflower & Orex to charge extra for using cc as payment?

Same thing here. So the extra 3% for online bill payment is on top of the RM 50 cap?

Try give a call to the MBB World MC customer service. My best experience with this CS hotline is 2 seconds wait time
