Just to update all:

CIMB cardholders shopping at Pavillion and Sunway Pyramid - CIMB giving Yu Yan Sang's hampers from 15 Jan to 15 Feb 2011 spending RM2,000 and above. Similar to Christmas offer, more you spend the bigger the hamper. Do note one hamper per day only.

One hamper per customer per day?

21-1: Application through phone without submitting any documents
27-1: Called MBB CS but was information my application was not in the system
28-1: Called MBB CS and was informed my application has been approved, but they were Gold cards instead. I asked them to change both cards to Platinum
Today 29-1: Called MBB CS again. This time I was told my application was in process. No cards have been approved yet. doh.gif

I guess they have removed the Gold cards in their system and they are now reprocessing my application.

Just curious, is it possible for me to apply for M2 Plat cards by phone even I do not meet their income requirements? I'm only eligible for M2 gold now...

You may try but let's be realistic about the expectations due to the income requirements.
Outright, the answer is definitely NO.

If you don't meet either one of the requirements for Platinum card, i.e, income or CL, you GENERALLY won't be able to be granted a Platinum card.

Thanks for reply smile.gif
It's a pity I could not afford to own the better design M2Plat card now.

Anyway do bank allow us to use foreign country payslip to apply for Malaysia CC?

Majority of them do no accept. Only selected that display AMEX logo.

Some of them you need to ask if they accept Amex. This is what I did before I decide where should I made my purchase to get the 15% cash rebate.

Added on February 15, 2011, 5:07 amHi all, I'm asking this on behalf of my friend. Anyone paying Hong Leong Assurance & Great Eastern Insurance via auto debit using OCBC Titanium? Do you get 5% or 1%?
Thanks.

tongue.gif Maybankard 2 has insurance as well so right now i think it is much better than the Maybankard world MC...
however... you could always get visa + amex mbb2 and mbb wmc (note treatmiles != treatpoints)

This only applicable for M2Plat. M2Gold do not have travel insurance...

Hi all, comparing Maybank 2 and Citibank Platinum, which card is better to use for spending at Singapore? I see many shops in Singapore are giving discounts for Citibank card holder. Not sure if this is applicable for Malaysia issued CC?

For shops that do not have any special promotion for Citibank credit cardholders, use your Maybankard 2 VISA as it gives the best exchange rate.
It is applicable for all Citibank credit cards worldwide. Gen-X has been taking advantage of this every time he goes to Singapore  biggrin.gif

Thanks MilesAndMore. Base on your feedback Maybank 2 Amex is not that suitable for use in Singapore?
Currently I'm using OCBC Titanium as main card so I'm looking for either Maybank 2 or Citibank Cashback Plat to use in SG. Need advice on which card would be a better combo.

Thanks MilesAndMore, Gen-X & winner.
Base on above replies I think M2 card is still the best to combo with my OCBC Titanium for spending in Singapore.

Wow couldn't believe this. You applied for M2Gold or M2Plat? Using your existing Petronas card with 6k CL?

I sent to branch today noon around 1pm. They called me 2 times around 3pm but I missed it.
However I clicked "I'm Interested" on their website 2 weeks ago...
