Guys, she was asking if a transaction is valid if one did not sign on the credit card transaction receipt. Anyway, the bank requires us to sign on the receipt as a way to prove that we are indeed the ones who made the purchase (in case you dispute the transaction).

QUOTE(lil`pumpkinz @ Jan 24 2011, 04:24 PM)
Is the transaction considered valid if one did not sign on the credit card transaction receipt?
*
oh ok. at the transaction receipt (slip). its so rare after slip come out then u dont want to sign. why give card at 1st to be swipe? laugh.gif
if wrong amount, the merchant terminal can reversed it back. (note: not all cashier know how to do this).

Most banks in Malaysia still operate their own call centre in their head office usually.
*
i have friends working at 'bank' call center. the building, door, wall inside, all got bank logo.
but their payslip is from call center company, not the bank (dont have bank logo) notworthy.gif

QUOTE(hazairi @ Jan 24 2011, 10:31 PM)
guys, a question, let's say we exceeded the credit card usage.
For example, the credit limit is 5k.
Spent until 5.2k.If we pay the bank rm700 and the credit drops to 4.5k, can we still use the card?
*
wondering how can u swipe 5.2k if ur CL is 5k? maybe u get temp CL increase.

anyway the answer is, u can still swipe rm500 (since recent is 4.5k out of 5k).

next time, pay 1st before swipe (to increase the CL).

But still got what bank provided cc for graduates? MayBank also got right? Just scare failed from CIMB only, that's why i need ask how long can know result? Because it take time to go bank do this stuff again and again..tired sad.gif

I get rejected by Alliance and EON bank before this sad.gif
*
1st, pls differentiate CIMB and DA.

DA do offer card for degree holder, while CIMB dont.

CIMB, like other bank - u can apply without degree, just the salary slip. the req is based on the salary.

ok?

This is CIMB Direct Access Credit Card : http://www.directaccess.com.my/index.php?c...=2&tpt=cimb_da#

I'm not sure sorry smile.gif
*
its ok. maybe u confused.

Direct Access previously owned by Southern Bank. but now is under CIMB.
ok that is graduate card offered by DA.

while CIMB (http://www.cimbbank.com.my) didnt offer any graduate card.

btw, try to apply card with lowest requirement, and apply it with salesman doing promo at (example is) hypermarket (not apply at the bank).
usually they will help u to get the card (to achieve their sales target).
after u get the card, use it wisely. next year, u can use the card to apply for another card.

can you tell more? i can use it to apply another application you means? but do i need to keep use it and make the payment record good? How if i just use once or twice a year?
*
yes.

example with PBB (Public Bank Berhad), they only need 6 months card to apply with them:

If you have been a Principal credit cardholder for at least 6 months with a credit card that is issued in Malaysia and valid worldwide, just enclose
* Photostat copy of your NRIC (both sides) or Passport and Work Permit for Non-Malaysians; and
* Photostat copy of your Credit Card (front only).

its best if u make the payment record good.
besides, that is what credit card supposed to be.
if u plan to have debt and bad payment record, then sorry, u are planning to failed sweat.gif

so back to ur question, yes, u can use it to apply for another card thumbup.gif

Can i apply Maybankard 2 Gold Card now?
*
pls read the requirement 1st before apply ok?

Minimum annual income:RM30,000

Required documents
* Copy of NRIC (both sides) or Passport, including that of supplementary applicant's
* Latest BE form with official tax receipt
* Latest 2 months' salary slips
* Latest 3 months' savings account activity/current account statement

since u dont have a '1 year credit card', so u need to submit all those documents.
if u dont have BE form with official tax receipt, no need to apply then sweat.gif

still. but not sure if it will be approved or not laugh.gif

u will pay rm50 gst for 1 year for credit card. why just want to use once or twice a year?
use it wisely. pay all the statement balance.

just convert all ur cash-flow now to the card.

example is for ur telco.
using postpaid, pay the bill with credit card.
using prepaid, go topup at tesco/giant then pay with credit card.

with that u wont use once or twice a year ~

- if u confused, u can call the bank directly to ask, or just ask it here smile.gif

- yes, once u have credit card, try to use it wisely. dont overspend.

- yes, use the DA for for 6 months with clean record (always pay full, even this is what it should be),
and apply another card that accept 6 months card example PBB.

Just a quick question as i can't find anything related to this is the few versions back.. Hope someone can help to clarify ~

Everyone knows banks look at our ccris when we use a card to apply for another card.

But will the ccris shows all the history of our record if the credit card is automatically upgraded from classic to gold? My suspicious arise when i notice my application for a new card was rejected and out of surprise my gold card number is different from the classic...
*
sorry i dont know much about ccris.

but, of coz gold card number is different from classic?

I got this from OCBC FAQ.

What types of transactions are excluded from the ‘Retail Spend Rebate’?
Recurring Payment/Auto Debit transactions, Flexi Payment Plan (FPP), Savvy Saver Plan (SSP), Balance Transfers, Cash Advance, Call-for-Cash, Dial-a-Cash, Dial-a-Cheque, Outstanding Balance, Finance Charges, Annual Fees, Late Charges, Reversals, Fraudulent Retail Transactions and other fees and charges are not eligible for the Spend Rebate.

Recurring Payment/Auto Debit transactions cant get cash rebate??
*
so far at OCBC website also didnt mention that 5% for auto-billing, just 5% for bills (for MC Ti) sweat.gif

while for amex gold credit card, 5x MR for telco bill, only with autopay (auto debit).
if just pay manually then only get 2x MR.

they are many reasons your cc application being rejected. Without a complete information of your own financial background, we'll be giving you wrong advise as well. I know may have been helpful (e.g. erry and the rest) but please be realistic ... there're things which require more background information.

thanks.

I do that too, hehe, but trying not to swipe for dining purpose. The other day my colleague used her card to pay for stuffs she bought at Watsons, then the cashier took her card and MIA for some time. Then he informed that her card can't be used. She's just afraid if the cashier did swipe her card or something. Now she's waiting for her statement in order to check.

advise her to make online banking then check recent transaction ~

And before this i saw it about rebate from kfc, burger king, watson and so on ? no more start from this year ? and also no more petrol rebate???? The benefit will keep changing year by year? confused  rclxub.gif

Actually, this DA purpose is for what?
*
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

the most important thing is, DA or CIMB, for fresh grade, apply for Mastercard, not Visa!
those rebates at kfc, burger king, teso, giant, etc. is only applicable for Mastercard ~

and yes, the promo will keep changing. u need to visit DA/CIMB website at least once in 6 months.

notworthy.gif

Added on January 25, 2011, 4:19 pmoh another advantage for DA/CIMB (no matter visa or mc), it give u free 10 months installment for insurance, hospital bil, and education.

example if u renew ur car insurance for rm1200, after 3 days just sms to convert it into installment.
so u just need to pay rm120 for 10 months. no fee at all, and no interest for remaining balance of the installment~

thumbup.gif

Added on January 25, 2011, 4:24 pmand previously, DA give 2% rebate at ALL petrol station. but no more starting this year sweat.gif
