QUOTE(chemistry @ Feb 14 2011, 12:23 AM) As advised by MBB CS, yes you can do that. Noted LoLz.... But I will not do that. If you want MC+Amex, better wait until April only apply. With MBB's efficiency, I don't want to take this risk. Which is why I intend to get the OCBC Ti card first and then work on it to the M2's VISA & MC tho the AMEX's 5x TreatPOINTS seems to be Yummy!!! |

QUOTE(zenquix @ Feb 14 2011, 12:30 AM) Darn It....just as I expected....!!!! If that's the case, I think the best combo of cards for me will be the OCBC Ti MC & the M2 AMEX and VISA....the best of all 3 worlds - VISA, MASTERCARD & AMEX |

Just clicked 'I'M INTERESTED' for both OCBC Ti & M2 AMEX & VISA online. Let's see which is first to jump on the bandwagon to recruit new customers.

QUOTE(simplesmile @ Feb 20 2011, 04:48 PM) Which cards are better? I plan to keep only 2 out of 3 below. 1. SCB JustOne Master card: 5% rebate on Friday. All other days = 2% rebate. Max RM600 a year. (I don't remember there's a monthly cap. Am I right?) 2. OCBC Titanium Master card: 5% rebates on lots of stuff. Anyday also can. All other transactions = 1% rebate. Cap as RM50 a month. 3. Maybank 2: I don't have this card yet, but looks tempting. 5% rebate on weekends. (Is this for all types of transactions?) How about weekdays, any rebates? |

Well, its been a week since I clicked the 'I'm Interested' option on both OCBC Titanium & M2 AMEX/VISA Cards section on their respective websites. No replies from either, so decided to fax in the completed application forms today - JUST COMPLETED FAX (21/2/2011). Let's see how long it takes for either to contact me back to confirm receiving the application.

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Feb 22 2011, 12:06 AM) I sent to branch today noon around 1pm. They called me 2 times around 3pm but I missed it. Hmmm.....well I clicked the "I'm Interested" about a week ago - No Reply then today morning about 10.30am faxed-in the documents and all - 2pm got call acknowledging receiving the documents and request to re-fax one of the documents which was slightly unclear. However I clicked "I'm Interested" on their website 2 weeks ago... |

Can anyone share how do banks usually handle/close dispute cases? For instance, if we claim that an illegal transaction is made without our (the card holder's) knowledge.

QUOTE(hye @ Feb 22 2011, 10:36 PM) I'd rather you ask this question in PM or not ask this question at all. The last time some one asked this question in here, the guy had a possible intention to scam the bank based the knowledge acquired. We always try to be nice and informative but many had bad intentions - that's why I'm rather critical at times. Well if you feel insecure answering this on a public forum, you can PM me. I'm going to be an first time CC user and at such this kinda experience sharing is indeed vital. Added on February 22, 2011, 10:38 pm Agreed. There's no mention in the T&C that customers can't do this or whether this act would invalid the card but please remember the CVV for your own use. If you forget, the bank would never disclose this and likely they have to issue you a new card. |

QUOTE(kartz25 @ Feb 23 2011, 09:33 PM) Frustrated with my plan to get the OCBC Titanium c/c. Faxed the application form with a copy of my existing c/c. Well, I faxed-in my application on the 21st...yet to get any calls either.... 3 days later still no call from OCBC. Call the CS, and was told application rejected. Asked why...She said dunno... I ask her is it the documents insufficient, also cannot answer me. She said can try I again in 6 months time. I said "Sorry - no plan to try. Not interested already". When I think back, I think I know why it was rejected, because the existing c/c which I faxed the copy only had a CL of 6k which I purposely asked the bank to reduce last time to reduce risk of losing the card. So this OCBC must have assumed my pay is insufficient, which instead they should have asked me for proof of latest income. So dungu of OCBC...then on the other hand they may be full of applicants already. Anyway for those of you who are applying , dont do the same as me. Anyway out of frustration..I'm saying goodbye to OCBC! |

QUOTE(hye @ Feb 23 2011, 10:52 PM) Plus 21st is a merely 2 days. An ideal time before they call you (if they do) is between 4-7 days. Fingers crossed In my case they never called at all. Yes ... banks if they are satisfied with your risk profile and nothing to ask you then they won't call you at all. Also, if they want to reject you straight away then they don't call either. |
