Hi, all. i'm a newbie of CC and i hope i could get helps here.
I'm planning to purchase a fitness equipment which cost around 4.5k. The outlet did have 2 types of installment plans which are 24 months and 12 months. The interest rate is 2% of the total amount. But in order to enjoy the 24 months installment plan, only EON & Ambank cards are allowed. Other cards only enjoy 12 months installment.
I'm currently a HSBC supp card holder and i'm planning to get either EON / Ambank CC. My annual salary is only able to apply for the CC with annual salary = 30k. From what i see from the banks website, it seems Ambank Carz card has more priviledge than the EON normal CC. But EON bank card allows me to pay my parents' insurance(ING) by installment without any charges while other banks will have charges.
May i ask any recommendation / advice? Thanks in advanced.
regarding the ING installment, do you mean autopay/direct debit or pay 1 lump sum then convert to installment?
if convert to installment, then ambank got am-flexi pay.
currently got promo free for 6 months (min rm1000) and also free for 12 months (min rm2500).

A question for you guys. Is it true that you need to pay a certain percentage if you paid something using credit card more than certain amount?
Im planning to pay for my car downpayment using my cc ~RM30k. But the sales person told me that if im using cc more than RM5k, i need to pay 1.7% of interest. Is that really a rule? by the way the car dealer is not some small 2nd hand car dealer, Its Nasim sdn bhd.
actually that % is the fee charged by bank to them.
u swipe rm30k, but later bank will give them rm29,490 only (bank keep rm510).
so they dont want bank take rm510, so they want u to swipe rm30,510.
if, u got 6 credit cards, just pay rm5k x6?
