im interested. how to test the results? after i edit the .txt file then straight can see the results or must recompile into .sis file and reinstall and test again?

that's why i don wanna do try and error on that light sensor mod as my heart tell me those intensity setting wont stay there if we enable the sensor... and if we disable the sensor it wont be use at all those value setting... so no point... but i never try lah as it at least need multiple time to editing, compiling, testing... and the effect are not obvious at all... if wanna safe batt direct choose power saver lah... if want brightness disable sensor lah why choose middle middle...  sweat.gif  shakehead.gif

coz i feel tat 75% is enuf for me as 100% use a lot batt.. but with the light sensor on its very annoying especially when i play game.. the phone is horizontal.. easily block it. doh.gif

12. copy the created .sis and copy into the n8
13. sign the .sis

its normal to not be able to detect FW update with phone especially when its still new. that's why i oways use nokia software updater on my pc. more reliable.
