i went to see those color charts but it's not easy to see how's the color like when painted on the whole exterior wall. my contractor said he knows which color i'm talking about but ended up buying a yelowish paint.

My advice, go with these three brands: ICI Dulux, Nippon or Jotun. The former is the most expensive but long lasting, the latter is the cheapest of the three & the least durable.

Make sure the stock is the latest 2011 version, especially when considering to buy ICI since there are so many issues regarding color mismatch despite using the exact same code (2010 different from 2011).

U can find some shops selling ICI Weathershield cheap at RM140 for 5 liters of paint. (Sticker price RM170+)

i can surely tells you it is not possible to tell 'which white' or 'what color code' straight from the eyes unless you asked the owner if he remembers.. If you look at the 'fan chart', there are many off-whites .. And those you see from your bare eyes under the sun, compares to seeing in inside the house has huge differences eventhough they are the same white!

or you have an option, there are a few paint shop that give their customer a copy cd that content a software for imaging. I got one copy a year ago, just capture a pic all around the corner and upload it to the sftware. very easy lor to make a decision... yummy!
