QUOTE(ck77 @ Jan 15 2011, 11:57 AM) Hey bro, just sharing information, that's beauty of the forum, doesn't it chinese? sea gull? is it a good brand? was browsing for it earlier. My collection? Can't compare to the Seiko fans in Seiko thread. Quote from somewhere, "A collection of 4 exceptional watches is better than a collection of 10 mediocre ones." Haha, easier say than done. Currently 3 Swiss, 1 German, 1 Chinese, 1 Jap. Can see some of it in MWF |

For those who are interested with chinese movement.
It's called Parnis Portuguese Power Reserve Automatic. As you can see from the photo, you can probably guess which watch its trying to copy. Chinese Seagull automatic movement. ST25 if I am not mistaken The movement is very noisy I must say. But nevertheless, still enjoys it very much. |

QUOTE(xander @ Jan 19 2011, 10:56 PM) price is around RM 268. Very cheap and for that price plus automatic movement, you just cannot complain. I recently acquired it in China. google "parnis" that's the brand. you will see a large homage collection. |

QUOTE(Kalist0 @ Jan 20 2011, 08:39 PM) guys, i'm thinking of getting a parnis watch. anyone of you here owned one before? mind to recommend me any websites? thanks yeah I owned one for a few days now. so far so good. It does use seagull movement like patryn said but there are more choice in term of dial. Again chinese watches the QC is a fit and miss. so all the best with it. I was lucky to get the good one. For website you can go to what patryn has said and take a look. another option would be to go to www.taobao.com and use a taobao agent. there are a few agents in the forum. google around with it. PS: if you are getting it. pay attention to the upcoming CNY. Might disturb your shipment. Added on January 21, 2011, 12:51 pm QUOTE(netzsch @ Jan 20 2011, 11:57 PM) Hi, i got a Longines from my father, it has the fish symbol at the back case. i know it tells the water resistant of the watch but how many bars? or just splash resistant?..just to make sure as i get it as a gift. nope. just online. as far as i know the online seller are mostly based in china or hongkong.Added on January 21, 2011, 12:07 am quite a lot of design they have. can i get it here in KL? or just available online? QUOTE(ifeel100 @ Jan 21 2011, 05:32 PM) Hi all sifu, All i got from the seller is a black box that is looked like that its made of leather. and the watch. the watch is wrapped with plastic protector and thats it.I was impressed by liat-liat post pic abt Parnis watch. So I decide 2 go bidding on 1 of the model from online. But Im not sure izzit authentic or not... How does Parnis watch in packaging? Condition: New without tags: A brand-new, unused, and unworn item that is not in original retail packaging or may be missing original retail packaging materials (such as the original box or bag). The original tags may not be attached. Warranty: Non-Factory Warranty http://www.parniswatch.net/index.php?gOo=g...dwt&goodsid=294 I agree with ck77 that parnis is too cheap to replicate. So far lurking on watchuseek forum about chinese movement watch there wasnt much concern about the authenticity. They are more worried about the quality because it is sort of hit and miss. |

QUOTE(ifeel100 @ Jan 21 2011, 05:56 PM) Oic, TQ all sifu~ it does feel good in my hand. Not too light not too heavy. Just right. It does feel sturdy but i dont think it can take much beating. dont drop it from tenth floor or run it over with a car I guess bcoz Im bidding instead of buying now hence the watch kinda cheap which only cost USD50+ So I'll jst sit tight & wait 2 win my bid tt's all~ Btw, Im still prefer Liat-liat model How was it feel on hand? Light? sturdy or not? Do u think of changing its leather? Coz it looks kinda... hmm... well not really a nice leatherĀ movement is very noisy though. you can hear the thing spin from 10-20cm away. some said its the ball bearing. Leather definitely bad, thinking to change it but still have to wait, currently with CNY coming up there aren't much choice. This post has been edited by liat-liat: Jan 21 2011, 07:44 PM |

QUOTE(xander @ Jan 21 2011, 06:36 PM) yeah.. i m so in luv wif the parnis watch u posted a few page ago.. but kinda worried abt the quality as i understand u can't expect too much from a rm 200++ watch.. might take the gamble n go bid for 1.. haha.. if you like the dial and worry about the RM200 price tag go for this. |
