I think you are entitled to your opinion... cool2.gif

Also, its possible ppl only pawn their rolex cos its the most in demand watch (in some asian countries). Compared with any other watches, its value "depreciates" the least, much like what a mercedes is compared with other makes. I dont think the pawn shop will gv u as much if u pawn ur AP or Zenith.

I just bought frm Ashford last week... 15th Jan.
They ship by UPS and you can track by their website.
My shipment is due to arrive on the 24th Jan.
So it's like 9 days.... if it arrives on time.
Service is pretty good. Can do livechat if you have any enquiries.
If my 1st deal goes well... might be buying more.
Some deals are too good to ignore... hahaha rclxms.gif
Oh yeah, watches should be tax free. Unless u meet a kopi-o kastam fellow.

you can only get them online. but its very hard if you use malaysian credit card. try paypal maybe you have better luck than the rest of us. There was a group of people that wanted to buy from them. but cancelled because the hassle didnt worth it.

Thanks for ur comment,

As my friend now is in UK... so ask him to get for me...

I wanted to see the actual watch before i ask my friend to purchase...

Thanks

Hi watch experts and lovers,

Looking for an automatic chronograph

(Preferably in-house movements - might be stretching it though...)

Budget - most important criteria - bang-for-the-buck ~ up to US $ 600

Excluding Japanese brands like Seiko, Citizen etc if any.

What about Christopher Ward, Hamilton?
(I'm just guessing here) Any German, Russian (Poljot?), or Chinese (Seagull, Alpha?) brands? Any idea where to get these brands from a physical store in KL?

Appreciate any suggestions on brands and models as well as retailers nod.gif

Hey bro, just sharing information, that's beauty of the forum, doesn't it  biggrin.gif
My collection? Can't compare to the Seiko fans in Seiko thread.
Quote from somewhere,
"A collection of 4 exceptional watches is better than a collection of 10 mediocre ones."
Haha, easier say than done. Currently 3 Swiss, 1 German, 1 Chinese, 2 Japs. Can see some of it in MWF  laugh.gif

Hi,

Can somebody recommend me a decent watch shop in Penang? I'm interested with G-Shocks in particular, most shops I visited in my area have very limited selections shakehead.gif I actually found one in Pacific/Prai Megamall with reasonable selling price plus the boss there is friendly, but sadly the models I want are all out of stock... Tough luck doh.gif

Automatic chrono with self movements, $6000 (~RM20k), off hands I can think of:-

- Omega Speedmaster Professional (Lemania under Swatch Group, so techinically can consider in-house)
- Tag Heuer Carrera Cal1887 (they claimed it as in-house)
- Zenith El Primero
- Ebel 1911 BTR

Christopher Ward, Hamilton no in-house movements, Poljot and Seagull yes, but unsure about the quality.
