the movie, iirc because Omega sponsor

Exactly, Omega start to do product placement in Bond since Pierce Brosnan in Golden Eyes

The is the classic scene, Sean Connery in Dr. No (1962) with Submariner 6538

Nice catch thumbup.gif
I believe it is a 3573 (sapphire front and back) and not 3572 (hesalite front, sapphire back) as stated.

nice. how did you verify it was the real deal, since you said it was an ebay purchase?
*
That's no good fake on speedy moonwatch. Can easily tell even with good fake.

If I can reduce the price to less than 4k, lets say 3.5-3.8k for the used Tag Carrera, I would get it, why not?. Then I will send in to change the bezel. I think new Carerra after discount would cost probably around 7k, so used one around 3.5- 3.8 is not bad, its a solid model IMO
*
I rather buy this,

Ck77 U love space watch a lot eh  thumbup.gif  before this I love dive watch, now I still love it, until I decide I have to have the legendary Speedmaster Professional.

Fortis not bad, but that brand not really picking up here service might be a concern? I like the Carrerra because of its design & also display caseback.
*
Haha I do have a space watch.
My Capt Cernan says hi cool2.gif

I thought the Fortis is in good price, but I do prefer the Lemania 5100 version, hard to come by though.
Don't think service is an issue as this is normal ETA movement.

guys, im looking at a second watch, after getting the tissot classic dream. i;ve been doing a little searching around online, the wenger commando chrono is awesome. so which would you guys choose, a PRC 200 chrono tissot or a wenger commando chrono? might i say they are at the same price range and same playing field?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

*
I would say go for Wenger as you already have a Tissot.

Nice caseback, looks like a limited edition. great value in future.

Btw, have you bring you watch to swatch group for servicing? if yes please share your experience.
*
Ya it is the Apollo 17 limited edition.
Don't think can fetch much higher value. Just the special case back apart from normal speedy.
I have yet to send my watch to Swatch Group for service.

Read through three pages and only saw two pictures.  You guys are slackin!

JK.

I took some more photos of the Panerai beast.

Perhaps you guys are getting a bit bored with the same watch being photographed in many different ways.
So I've purchased a few new watches - no doubt, I will be posting the pics here as soon I can, but need to fly back to the states and pick them up.  Will be leaving at the end of the week.

But for now, check this out.

Looks like my watch is chilling at the bottom of the great depths of the sea - where any proper diving watch should be, huh?

Well no, this diving watches is merely chilling at the bottom of a saucepan with soda water poured in, but I thought it created a nice effect.  Notice how there is no nucleation of the carbon dioxide gas on the Corundum crystal.

Cheers!

nice shot! rclxms.gif

Am thinking about purchasing this watch...anyone own a Maurice Lacroix out there?  What's your opinion of your watch - of the brand in general?

http://www.mauricelacroix.com/en/Collectio..._Movements.html

Basically am looking for a mechanical watch (preferably in-house movement).  I like the squelette look in general, but feel it may be a bit too bold...?

Cheers!

don't have a ML but i thought they are nice.
do wait for the promo, last year was 50% on birthday discount.

Thinking of buying a decent watch (to me below 6K is consider decent already). Having Tissot now but would like to have nicer one for dinner or something. Any recommendation?
*
6k got a lot of choices. what's your preferences? i.e:-
- brand conscious?
- auto / quartz?
- like small or big watches?
- any functions required? or just normal 3 hands watch with date?
