in Japan not all OT are from Vietnam, some from Indonesia and local Japan as well.
the catalog in the shop got written where does it made for each model.

er... wonder y do they make it so slippery?
OT not for casual wear?

i was thinking of buying my first OT also but wonder whether the sole will last for everyday wear?? cuz i got a pair of converse which is half worn out after only 1 year of usage...

For everyday use? I wasn't so sure it will last or not - as I only wearing my OT occasionally. Experience with converse outsole before. They're not durable at all.

ya and slippery as well... my first impression on 66's outsole is like "woah i think i gonna worn it out in half years time"... btw the outsole of DX looks more decent IMO...

My suggestion is, don't rely on one shoes at a time. Regardless any brand, if you wear the shoes everyday in any occasion - pretty sure it will worn out aswell.

Buy more shoes.

If you have extra money to spend, get an OT or Jack Purcell. Comparing canvas to leather is a huge different. Plus, from my experience myself of Converse outsole, it's easily ripoff, especially the heel part.
