dv6 series often known to have a lot of heating issues because of the ventillation design.. Not sure they have solved this problem yet, if they did then it's quite a good buy... definitely better than XPS...

QUOTE(DarkForXe @ Jan 14 2011, 11:03 PM) the dv7 4290 selling for usd1100 only! really wth o. with current exchange rate. it is almost as cheap the local, lower spec version. HP has always been cheap in the USA because it's from there.. Can't compare lar... If you compare past prices, Malaysia have lowered it down a lot already... Added on January 14, 2011, 11:17 pmTo be honest, if that model really have GDDR5 model of HD6570 and scored 10k in 3DMark06.. It's already the best laptop you could have for Rm3.3k already.... 10k is almost Gaming level GPU already.. This post has been edited by eugenechiuu: Jan 14 2011, 11:17 PM

I will wait for a week or two more if I were you to see the situation...
With Sandy Bridges laptop + Strong GPU sold for such low prices, I am sure there're more models with similar specs coming out at similar prices.. By then you would have more choices and more user feedbacks...

QUOTE(skycrawler @ Jan 15 2011, 12:13 AM) Its 1GB GDDR3..watch de video.. If that is so, I would choose 5750G over Y560P... But HP dv6 is the best buy among the 3... Just need to wait for some proper reviews to see the temperatures..

QUOTE(metaloid @ Jan 15 2011, 01:40 AM) i wonder why the price stated here is rm4299? different compared to the online store. hopefully its a typing error http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/my/en/ho/WF...11-5041099.htmlit's still RM3299 from the first link TS given us.. http://h20386.www2.hp.com/MalaysiaStore/Pr...95&pid=C338007&so weird the website.... EDIT: I think the link TS used is the accurate one... The one you found is like linked from the USA website.. try fiddling around with the ads from ur link and you would come to the above link This post has been edited by eugenechiuu: Jan 15 2011, 02:02 AM

QUOTE(yeapsc73 @ Jan 15 2011, 10:15 AM) if you ask acer sale agent whether 5750g got BT most probably they will say yes LOL considering 4103tx selling at sgd1899, or rm 45++, with almost the same spec can't compare like that, Malaysia always have a few models much cheaper than other countries for budget users.. Besides, it's a pattern that a lot of laptop prices selling as low as USA prices recently, such as Apple, Dell etc.... Remember Asus A42Jv selling for Rm2.5k and it was much cheaper than SG as well...

QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Jan 19 2011, 09:39 AM) Interesting price of Lenovo. RM2999 for i7-2630QM (with Radeon 6570 DDR5? and 1x4GB?) This is the best now. Very aggressive pricing approach from Lenovo. The price is now very "Lenovo" instead of "IBM". Additional RM38 for the 2nd year onsite warranty sounds good to me. It's DDR3... Only the HP one is DDR5... Why should Lenovo's price be very IBM? Only their Thinkpad series should be like 'IBM' since it used to be belong to IBM... Now the Lenovo V470 looks tempting to anyone who wants a 14 inch SB but doesn't game.... QUOTE(kylee700 @ Jan 20 2011, 05:57 AM) http://www.engadget.com/2010/12/27/intels-...side-an-hp-dv6/the link above supposedly shows the newest hp dv6 model in spore..so if it is true so this means:- 1)the old dv6 model plastic casing is switched to aluminium 2)chiclet keyboard 3)no more numeric keyboard? is this for real??anyone can verify? I thought it's exactly the same design as the 3000 series dv6?? Did u mistaken it for Pavilion dv6 instead? Cause my housemate using the previous version dv6 with i7-720QM and HD5650, it looks exactly the same..

The GPU is still more powerful than N53SN lol
I think should be Rm3299... Since someone called HP and confirmed anyways.. RM4299 is probably a typo from the un-updated US website or smth..

QUOTE(toobad @ Jan 23 2011, 12:20 AM) but its a dv6, will there be any overheating problems? that is whats stopping me from purchasing it HP users any idea? Get a Cooler Master Infinite and away ur problems.. My housemate using the previous generation dv6 with i7-720QM and HD5650, his idle used to be 60+.. now that he got himself an CM infinite, his temp during web browsing only around 50-52.. Erm... U3 is customizable fans where u can position ur fan wherever u want..
Infinite is a big fan but it ventilates on the whole surface... U3 is slighly cheaper I think, but u need to look for effective spots to blow ur 3 small fans...
