Ok, here's the thing.
U wanna mod brake, yes, thats a good idea. But start small. First, change brake pads. Then rotors. Then brake pump, finally rear disc. When u've all this done, then oni add ABS & EBD module to ur braking system. Sikit sikit lama lama jadi bukit ma
And yeah, 3.4k for a whole rear set of OEM Proton disc brakes. Quite cheap la considering it's new, but it's still quite some investment there for me. I rather go ICE. LoL.
Added on January 28, 2011, 9:35 pmGuys... I kena saman from Traffic Police today. Damn suay. Parking saman, stop my car at Jln Imbi for a while to go buy 'rou gan' or barbecued pork strips, then come out see my car also got 1 piece of 'rou gan' attached to the wiper d. Niaseng..
Anyone got any idea how much is the saman? It's not stated on the paper..
i just get my persona b-line y'day.
the brake really tak boleh pakai. i feel the car still moving when i brake.
the handbrake hv to pull very high when i park my car in slope, if not, the car still can moving.
Is it all this can be fix during first 1k service? Or i need to mod in other workshop?

adding ABS / EBD stuffs like what H line model has, the cost itself will make you feel complicated. hahaha... not worth it. unless, u can find a write off persona H line and get its braking system.
to improve the braking of the B series, i would highly recommend these to be done:-
1. replace the front brake pads to better friction pads. bosch stock pads suck to the max.
2. replace the master pump to H series or gen2's master pump. B and M series persona have smaller weaker pumps and thus, weaker brake pressure and braking power.
This is more than enough already but if you still want more, then add rear disc brake.
If want even more braking power, then replace the front disc brake to other car makes with bigger rotors with perhaps twin pot calipers. But this needs additional custom bracket works to have it fitted.
Been there, done that. heheheh....
But have not done anything to my brakes on my persona b series except replacing the front pads to higher friction pads to improve brake feel and braking power.
How much do you pay for replacing front pads? will it void the warranty???
