I know Torres has been great for us, but his decision to switch is more like blaming the club for the downfall, and he has nothing to do with it. Has he been scoring for the past 1.5 seasons? He's been injured most of the time and Pool has been paying for his medical bills for injuries plating for Spain, and Pool allowed early leave so that he had a chance to play in WC. And he wants to leave when the team really needs him??? Loyalty? My ass!!! I can understand if he wants to go to Milan or Bayern or Barce, but Chelsea? Come on!

I for one wish that all this is a hoax or mind games by KD to get more money for more quality signings. But if all this is true, then let's make sure that Chelsea do not qualify for UCL next season!

Haa... Mickey Owen. Forgot about that fella already. And we did win the UCL after he left!

Here's the irony, we'll manage to get pass Chelsea to qualify for the UCL and win the Europa, and Chelsea loses the UCL spot and lose to Everton next week in the FA Cup replay!!!

I guess you are right in a way, if his heart is not at Pool, then allow him to leave. Nowadays, players have the upper hand. If they aren't allow to leave, they act like little children, throwing toys out of their prams. But these people are professional, why are they doing this? Has anyone really fulfill their contracts? What about the clubs?

Anyways, where the hell are we going to find a striker if he leaves today? Why did he request the transfer 4 days before closing? Why didn't he do it earlier? That shows how selfish a person is, trying to leave without even considering how it will affect everything, the club, the team, and especially the fans. I really don't know what he is thinking, an until now, I tell myself that it is not Torres who started all this, because that's just not him. But if it is, he has broken a lot of fans' hearts, especially the children who adore him. Why? He just made a statement. If the going gets tough, just hand in a transfer request and leave the club!

My feeling exactly. He's not being paid peanuts! His weekly salary can feed a whole village for a year! I never buy this "heart is not with the club" crap. You are being paid, so do your job. The "heart" is something extra, kind of like tongkat ali to boost the performance. I know that not everybody's heart is at his/her job/company right now, but do you still have to do your job? That's why they are called professionals, but most of them don't act like one! They play well whenever they feel like playing, and vice versa. In Torres' case, Pool has bent over backwards in helping him gain back his fitness, even letting him off early to recover so that he could play for in the WC. And the thing is, his injuries were mostly during international duty. But handing a transfer request at the end of a transfer window? That's just cold. I would hate even Stevie G if he does that (a bit less considering we have many midfielders). But the point is, why are you doing this to the club that has been good to you, and to the fans who adore you, and to the kids who look up to you? Selfish? Definitely. Why can't he wait until the end of the season and see what King Kenny has to offer, then decide. And worst of all, to Chelsea? Chelsea IMHO will never finish above MU, MC or Arsenal, and that's the spot Pool is fighting for, and he goes to Chelsea? What label can you put to Torres now? Don't get me wrong, I love Torres (not in a ghey way) and I wish he'll do a Gerrard (2004). But it seems like the bridge is burned, and he needs to do a lot more than words to make things right again (by scoring 20+ goals!!!).

I beg to differ. Would you feel the same way if Fab does the same thing? At least he is going to Barca if that is ever going to happen, but what if he goes to a rival BPL club? Would you be saying the same thing about him?

Why are we blaming the club totally, where the players as well are also to be blamed for the performance. To me, Alonso was the factor last season, but we generally had the same players in 2009/2010, didn't we?

If Caroll is worth 30M, then Torres should be worh at least 100M!

I am not pissed off because he wants to leave, but the timing, and this will hurt the club even more. Sure, he says he loves the club, bla bla bla, kiss the badge and all, but is this what you do when you love the club? And Chelsea? We might have a chance to pip Chelsea for the last UCL spot, and he wants to join them? I know, credits should be given to Torres for his effort, but don't tell me what he is doing now is justified because he did what he actually supposed to do for the club as a professional player? He is one of the most highly paid in LFC, so that is what is expected of him, am I wrong to say that? What I am saying is, respect goes both ways, the club helped him a lot with his injuries (though I believe mostly he got during international duty) and he is being paid handsomely as well, but why turn your back on the club now? Can't he wait until the end of the season? I love Torres and I wish that he stays, but I am very sure that others will follow, starting with Reina and Kuyt, and worse, Gerrard if things are not handled well.

If that is so, it is really bad business on LFC part. 50 + Anelka, that is more reasonable.

Let's keep it that way. Imagine this: Torres blunder requires him to do heck a lot of goalscoring to earn back the fans' respect. I imagine 30 goals for the next 14 games!!!
