Credit to all players for encouraging performance and in particular Torres n Merieles. Both are on fire. Any chance fall on anyone of them will result in goal. Mark my word. We showed that we want it more than Everton.

Well the result slowly but surely improves under KD. Only mistake in defending corners and unlucky strike denied us 3 points. After Blackpool game, KD demanded improvement in final third and the players responded positively especially in the first half.

Btw is Meireles the best player to take the corner? I think he is better stay in the midfield to capitalize on loose ball and unleash his thunder bolt.

Same players, different manager, much better football. Let's hope we take all 3 points.

Yes hopefully. Wolves is surely capable of finding the net. They did scored 3 against City last week. Let's hope our defenders are a their best.

Btw everytime the camera focus on KD I just want to thank him. I can see the pass and move gradually fitting in the system. The pass was intuitive at times and evey player is seems on the same page.

Guys if you haven't watch the MOTD highlights then you should and go straight to the analysis part at the end which shows that we indeed attack in numbers with Kuyt, Maxi and Merieles always run forward everytime we attack.

Can somebody explain to me why Holloway values Charlie Adam very high other than he wanted to squeeze the most money out of him. I mean its not like he is a proven BPL player. Yes, he has shown good performance so far. But it is still a gamble from our side. I saw rumour that SWP will go to Fulham for £4 and I think he is slightly less of a gamble than Adam.

Holloway mentioned that somewhere that Adam is at least worth a quarter of what Bent is. So I guess we will get him at 6 million or less. Plus he has a soft spot for Liverpool but he has to be seen as unbiased, no? cool2.gif

Well I had the chance to closely analyze Adam game last nite. He plays a deep role like Alonso and he brings the ball out of defense with ease and composure. He involves other players in the move more or less ala Gerrard. At the age of 25 he is more or less a finished article. He may not be miles better than what we have now midfield. But one thing for sure he can offer maturity and right decision making on the field.

What do you guyz think of Jonjo appearance as sub so far? KD has used him in two previous matches (or maybe more). Although he has done ok but I expect a little bit more. Since we also have other competent options on the bench the like of Pacheco, Jonjo, Cole, (maybe Suso), I think KD should think of giving them a chance as well.

Bit hard to be critical of him until he's given a start. You don't get many opportunities to do much in under 15 minutes. I think he looks particularly matured for an 18 year old and I'm not referring to his looks. He gets into positions, isn't afraid of asking for the ball, has made a couple of intelligent passes, particularly against Wolves and has the physique. He just needs more games under his belt and I imagine it's why King Kenny's been bringing him on late.
*
I thought he was brought on quite early in last 2 games, I think around 70th min. I believe he will be the new Gerrard. He has the raw talent just like the young Gerrard used to. If KD brings him on when we are leading the game by 2 or more goals, than I would like to see him capitalizes his speed and be more composed in front of goal.

Fortunately KD has until Tuesday to ensure them click. And plenty of time for Suarez to also click with Reina and practise off the line clearance tongue.gif

True or not, its pretty obvious Torres hasn't been happy for quite some time now. Just look at the way he celebrated his goals this season. None slides, no fist pumps. In fact our goal celebrations these days are just depressing. Back when Xabi was around, there was a tremendous unity and team spirit. The team would have some sort of group hugs after each goals with Arby always getting on top of everyone. Now its just half hearted celebrations. I don;t know im probably just reading too much of it.
*
Yes you are reading too much into it.... biggrin.gif

But judging from the pic below I can see the lack of celebration from Torres and more enthusiasm from the "spectators" hehe rclxms.gif

gunners can lose henry and live with it............
MU too with C ron.........
if we wanna prove we are at their level, we too must cope better with this.
*
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think both of them requested transfer in January windows with 3 days left, leaving the club little time to find replacement.

It is foolish to expect players to stay with one club these days with the lucrative sum of cash some oil tycoon can throw their way, more so a player whose heart is with Atletico Madrid and not us. If anything, blame ourselves for buying into what he's said.
*
I guess you are right. I do blame myself now for believing there are still players in modern football who embraces the club wholeheartedly, who would stick with it through good and bad. There is no such player. (Note to self: Repeat, there is no such player)

If his heart is no longer with LFC than just let him leave. No use holding on to him if we can't convince him to stay. Btw if he wants to go to a trophy guaranteed club than he should go to Barcelona. As for EPL, this season is very unpredictable. All of ManU, Chelsea, Arsenal n maybe Spurs n ManCity are in the race right now. All I'm saying is if he is so desperate to win something this season than Barca is the safest bet. But in EPL no club is a guaranteed bet at this time. And I believe Torres should give KD a chance at least till end of season. Then if he sees it is unlikely to win trophies with Liverpool then he can look for other options.

And Suarez, welcome to Liverpool. Just give your all on the pitch and the supporters will accept you with both hands. Just don't declare 100% love and passion for the club because there's no such thing in modern football yawn.gif . It is better that way. biggrin.gif

When we bought Torres, he was unproven in BPL. Carroll at least is proven for half season already. The only disappointment is if we really pay £35 million. But shopping on the deadline day.... you have to expect that.

Next against Stoke.

We used to have dull transfer windows, sitting at the corner watching others spending like hell. This is veeery refreshing. Get in!
