There's one reason why Torres is training alone and that is because he just came back from Spain.

'OK, here is what we know so far. Torres has a release clause of £50m in his contract, but that only applies if we fail to qualify for the Champions League. So in any case, Torres is going to cost £50m whether we decide to sell now or in the summer.

However, should the player decide he really does want to leave, then the club will accept Anelka as part of the deal and not Sturridge.

Twitter has proved a fascinating source of transfer news and rumour this window. First reports are now surfacing from Mirror football correspondent Darren Lewis that Liverpool have accepted a bid from Chelsea for Fernando Torres

Kenny Dalglish insists Liverpool have not changed their stance regarding the future of Fernando Torres since rejecting a transfer request on Friday night.

But in a press conference prior to Wednesday's meeting with Stoke, Dalglish fiercely denied that the club were ready to let Torres leave.

The Liverpool manager said regarding the situation: "It is the same as what the club statement was two or three days ago. We will stick to that and we won't be adding to that."
