My ipad fall and broke two day ago, i can see the screen is on but is in dark blur colour..
there is a line broken on the top right.
i still can slide the screen to another page but the only thing is i cannot view the screen..

have you try to claim for warranty? Just try your luck la..

wait for iPad2

have check with apple store, they don't cover for drop..

Physical damage not covered by warranty.

yes they did provide repair service, price will around 2k...

At that price, might as well get a new one.

lesson learnt: always use ipad jacket.. its a tad bulky ..but safe..rumours say that they wanna make the glass thinner and carbon fiber body for ipad2.. so that wt is less.. but..,... that would mk screen more fragile..

If it's just the screen broken, how can it cost almost a new iPad to repair it? Try to google how much the replacement screen will cost. I believe you're not the first in the world to drop your iPad.

coz Apple don't replace the screen, they replace the whole unit with a new 1. that's why they are quoting you for a new iPad.

Try google dude. Maybe you can find some sites selling the spare parts. Then get someone like wei to replace for a fee?
