Err.... that's why you should extend to 3 years warranty hehe  laugh.gif
Anyway, the latest AS4820TG-482G64 (W7HP64) runs on i5-480M+ ATI HD6550@~RM2400
Can consider  nod.gif If you're not in a hurry can wait for newer models  nod.gif

If you are into gaming then the Z460 will definitely not be enough  nod.gif But it sure looks good though hehe~
Perhaps you should consider Acer 4820TG/3820TG instead  thumbup.gif
*
or is asus can last longer??
still doubt on acer as many complain on the trouble/problem...
my hse got acer desktop and always down with many problems

how about toshiba? any good laptop from them?
cheers! wink.gif

Acers have improved alot... my housemate's Acer 4820TG so far no problems at all  thumbup.gif
The only models worth considering from Toshiba are the L645 with i5-460M/560M+ATI5650@RM2.6/2.9k... the other L645 models are not that good though, there are better alternatives from other brands...  icon_rolleyes.gif

Maybe can wait for the new XPS refresh>?  hmm.gif
Not many brands offer full hd screens 1...
Or maybe can consider importing other versions of the N53?  hmm.gif
*
TJ,
thx for reply...
but still worry on it bcos my previous dell inspiron 1420 only last around 2 years and the monitor start to have prob... cry.gif
this time, would like to get better one, $ still can consider if up to 2.6k...
and other brand which you think are better alternatives hmm.gif
after have bad experience on dell and acer, bit worry on using it already... whistling.gif
cheers! wink.gif

The Inspiron 1420 is a budget laptop with many problems  doh.gif But its good to see that the newer batches of Inspirons are better already  thumbup.gif
Can consider Asus A42JP/A52JV/N43JF as shown here: http://event.asus.com/my/2011/productguide/PG_Jan_Feb.pdf
But you may need to wait a few more weeks for these models to arrive though...
I think you can either get a 4820TG and upgrade the warranty to 3 years, or you can get an Asus laptop (they come with 2 years international warranty)... If you plan on getting a Toshiba and then extend the warranty I'm afraid it will exceed your budget
*
that time didn't know about it, 1st time having laptop, need most budgeted laptop...
now which to take a better one without so much problem...
roughly those laptops will start selling before march mar?
or any other laptop which can consider on that time... must get it around beginning of march already
cheers! wink.gif

*
ohhh, 4750G from SG better then drool.gif
btw, Acer 4750G in MY worth to buy, or should wait for N43SL??
why acer able to sell so low at RM2249, and i think if N43SL should around 2.5k-3k right? build quality?
although N43SL not yet confirm what CPU yet
and both 4750G and N43SL GC different - GT520M & GT540M, can't really compare both model
does these 2 GC differ lot on the capabilities??

is it timelinex better than normal aspire??

another question:
DELL XPS speaker: JBL 2.1 Designed & Certified Speakers +Waves MaxxAudio ® 2.1 Audio: 2 X 4W + 12W sub-woofer 20W Total
and
ASUS speaker: Built-in Speakers And Microphone Bang & Olufsen ICEpower® SonicFocus
which speaker is better??

thanks first for reply notworthy.gif

If you can wait, then wait  nod.gif
Asus N43SL is more expensive due to the better built, craftmanship and additional features...
N43SL will run on 2nd gen i5 iinm, probably the same one as the Acer 4750G...
Performance difference between the GT520M and GT540M is very large, the latter is way better LOL  laugh.gif

Dell XPS's JBL speakers are better, with an additional subwoofer  nod.gif
*
but is it really confirm n43sl will come to msia
some say no and then asus msia fb suddenly say will come, don't know how true is it rclxub.gif
scare wait till april and not coming in cry.gif
uhhh, i thought GT520M & GT240M does not differ much on performance *noob on this* tongue.gif

well, then comparing Dell XPS and Asus N series, which is better comparing for quality, performance etc?? whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif
sorry for stupid question rolleyes.gif

well.. i did saw n53 at mid valley to day... but guess why its there??? intel was launching its sandy bridge APUs so there were lots of rigs and laptops that had the 1st and 2nd gen core i series for them to demo the differences.. and n53 was one of them... so i asked when its available and he said ''should be very soon''. and god did it look sexy...
*
arrhhhh! doh.gif
make me 15 16 want to go have a look or not drool.gif
but seem not worth to purposely drive from klang to there to just see n53 cry.gif

The Acer 5750G (i7-2630QM + GT540M) is capable of reaching 5 hours or so according to reviews...
A very big improvement from the older i7  nod.gif
Not sure how the new i5s fare though, perhaps can ask the new users?
*
does i5 come with integrated Intel HD 3000 also?
if yes, mean it should be working smoothly with Nvidia Optimus to have longer battery lives
cause seem like some Nvidia Optimus does not function well is it on old i5/i7?? correct me if im wrong tongue.gif
previously, i saw many said "IF" Nvidia Optimus work properly, make me think so biggrin.gif
