Hi there, can anyone help me out with this :

A52JV-SX022V (GT540M with 2GB ram) @ 2,599

and

N53SV-SX255V (GT540M with 1GB ram) @ 2,799

I'm quite troubled to choose between these two models...the GPU has the same model number but the ram is different. Why is that?

So it means that VRAM is only important when i want plug it into multiple screens? Like a geek?

haha jk only la. But okay i guess 1Gb ram for myself is enough.

Not sure this will help tho, my company uses DELL a lot. I suppose PS is usable.

Just curious.. why is 15' laptops (especially asus) are being brought in more compared to the 14' ?

I went to PC EXPO the other day in MV, the A52JV looks really huge to me.

And anyone has experience in ASUS temperature? My BenQ laptop really friggin' hot..especially when it's running games

I suppose SSD is where we'll be heading in the future, but seriously, the pricing is really cutthroat.

If I recall properly, I've seen it in Timesquare..like months ago.

I think the transfer rate is the one hindering the expansion of the space Let's just hope USB3.0 gets more popular soon. Then we're in for a real quick advancement !

Anyone has first hand experience on Acer Aspire 5750G?

Went to low yat today and it really got my attention. lol

And now i'm undecisive between Asus N53 and Acer 5750G.

But the users report of overheating, some aren't. So i'm really lost. lol.

Btw, i've had bad experience with an overheating laptop last time...so yea. Asus N53SV has a better review in cooling compared to 5750G, but of course, 5750G provides better value for money.

What do you think people?

Did you go to PC Expo in MV last weekend? I think the ASUS booth was selling it at 2,699. They said only got 10 units and selling fast.

How big is the A42JP screen?

I think you missed out the A52JV.. it was there, and also selling at 2,699. Special thing was : A42JP and A52JV was selling at the same price. lol i remembered cause the promoter keep pushing for the A52JV laptop saying "this is new, only 10 stocks this whole expo"

Keyboard quite sleek, a little small on the arrow buttons tho. and yes, it's 15.6"
