Hi there, can anyone help me out with this :
A52JV-SX022V (GT540M with 2GB ram) @ 2,599
and
N53SV-SX255V (GT540M with 1GB ram) @ 2,799
I'm quite troubled to choose between these two models...the GPU has the same model number but the ram is different. Why is that?

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Mar 6 2011, 07:06 AM) Don't need to bother about the vRAM size too much, 1GB is more than enough.. QUOTE(Trance4eva @ Mar 6 2011, 12:57 PM) 1gb or 2gb does not even matter unless ur connecting your laptop to 2 or 3 external screen So it means that VRAM is only important when i want plug it into multiple screens? Like a geek? This post has been edited by jusjus88: Mar 6 2011, 01:33 PM

QUOTE(Trance4eva @ Mar 6 2011, 01:38 PM) people that plug into multiple screen is not a geek ok. Mostly they use it for multi task and graphic design. People that do gaming rarely do this...... haha jk only la. But okay i guess 1Gb ram for myself is enough.

Just curious.. why is 15' laptops (especially asus) are being brought in more compared to the 14' ? I went to PC EXPO the other day in MV, the A52JV looks really huge to me. And anyone has experience in ASUS temperature? My BenQ laptop really friggin' hot..especially when it's running games

QUOTE(Koki @ Mar 8 2011, 12:26 AM) As Lifehacker's article of saying why SSD is worth it... I guess yes. Eventually the SSD will pay itself off, given that you don't care about the capacity. I suppose SSD is where we'll be heading in the future, but seriously, the pricing is really cutthroat.

QUOTE Not so soon... If they keep up at this pace, they will merely reach 2TB in 1 year I think the transfer rate is the one hindering the expansion of the space Let's just hope USB3.0 gets more popular soon. Then we're in for a real quick advancement !

Yeap, thank you, i've even read thru the topic in http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...entry40073187But the users report of overheating, some aren't. So i'm really lost. lol. Btw, i've had bad experience with an overheating laptop last time...so yea. Asus N53SV has a better review in cooling compared to 5750G, but of course, 5750G provides better value for money. What do you think people?

Special thing was : A42JP and A52JV was selling at the same price. lol i remembered cause the promoter keep pushing for the A52JV laptop saying "this is new, only 10 stocks this whole expo" Keyboard quite sleek, a little small on the arrow buttons tho. and yes, it's 15.6"
