hi, saw an acer ad promoting this : Acer Aspire 4750G-2414G50 for rm2249. also had another model Acer Aspire 4743ZG-622G32 for rm1749.
i was surprised to see both are using the same graphics card (GT520m).
so down to the main difference between the 2 models, how superior is the i5-2410M compared to the P6200? in what situations would it be really noticeable?
im looking for a notebook mainly for simple microsoft office use, internet surfing, movies, and i would like to be able to do some gaming on it (no designing/coding/programming etc). so just wanna see if the new i5 is really worth spending an extra rm500 for.
and another thing, how good is the gt520m? what ati card would it compare to?
thanks guys.
edit: 1 more thing, any idea if these 2 models will come in options with FreeDos instead?

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Mar 5 2011, 10:46 PM) The new i5-2410M should be almost approx. twice as powerful compared to the P6200 Well, you probably won't notice the differences unless you are running a lot programs/ resource consuming programs (including certain games, especially RTS ones). The GT520M is currently estimated to rank in between GT325M and GT320M... if the true performance is like that, I rather opt for Acer's 3820/4820TGs Usually games depend more on GPU rather than CPU i see. i quite like the acer 3820, my only issue with it is the lack of an optical drive. besides using an external dvd drive, what other ways is there to install games/software on the 3820? i reckon this might be a noob query. and 1 more thing, p6200 vs i3-380. much difference?
