Hi guys..Great thread you all have here Urgently need your help to help me decide on a new laptop im planning to get..

1. Brand - Open to any suggestions. Although i've received feedback from ppl that HP&Compaq isnt that good and Dell always have something going wrong with the minor parts.
2. Budget - Below 2k
3. Specs - Main usage will be for watching shows/movies, general online purposes. Preferably a lighter type notebook, good and loud sound (very important lol), good battery life, long lasting, and doesnt overheat easily.
4. Size - 13-15" will do.

Hi everyone...I need some feedbacks on something..I decided to get the Dell Inspiron 14 laptop..But I'm wondering if there is any big difference between buying it online from Dell directly or buying it from the shops?

Which is better? I checked with the shops...They only have black color cover and dont have the red now. The color is not an issue but..are there any advantages from buying from the shop? Like if i buy from Dell online,i can only call them for their service/repair..but if i get it from the shop, if there is any problem i can send to the shop immediately. But im wondering if the stocks from the shop are old stocks since Dell online assembles the laptop only after i made the payments.

So..a little lost here and need some feedbacks from the experienced/pro ones here hehe. Thanks!
