GTA IV requires at least HD 5650 or HD 6550 to get it playable, anything below that is crippling at barely playable framerate unless you really tweak the hell out of it or you just play it at low detail. Worse, it requires quads to really makes it playable. For that budget forget about any decent gaming. GTA San Andreas and older would run great though

Hey guys. My sister's laptop went kaput in Melbourne.
And I'm supposed to bring a netbook over.

Typical student usage:
Microsoft office
Surfing the net
Watch movies
Less than RM1,000
Long battery life

From cnet review.
The bottom line: Dell's popular Netbook adds HD video acceleration for a solid movie-watching experience, but requires a still-in-beta Flash update for streaming video.

Pretty much you won't be able to view HD movies in flash, especially under RM1K budget..

Oh. HD videos only is it.
How about Vimeo?

Most netbooks have this problem I presume?

Do you know any other netbooks that are about that price range and standard?
Planning to grab one tomorrow at digital mall.

Can stretch until 1.2k if there's a better performance netbook.

If you can wait, then wait...
Can you leave your notebook for more than couple days for the replacement? If not, better get the older Core i3/i5/i7...
