*
Hey bro...if you want bluray drive for notebook with 4k budget is quite impossible...try Asus N53SN/N53SV, Dell Studio XPS 16..the bluray drive buy external one.XD..So far Asus N53SN-SZ011V has a bluray drive but the price is about RM5000 and still not in Malaysia yet~

Hi, i will be going to PC expo this coming weekend..
My target would be a 3k laptop with best for buck as priority..

Any model for recommendation?
No gaming, just for studies purpose  smile.gif

Here got some recommendation..>1. U41JF-WO134V@RM2899 (Lighter, slimmer, longer lasting battery compare to the other two) , 2. N43JF-VX126V@RM2599 (better sound system and better design compare to the next one) 3. A42JY-VX195V@RM2399 (Nothing special><)

Most likely either XPS 15/ SXPS 16, but you won't have good gaming performance in 1080p, most likely need to lower the resolutions...
*
Perhaps he should buy G53GW or G73Jh somewhat~XXD

hye there. want to buy a new laptop.

price range : 2k-2.5k. maybe stretch up to 2.8k max
brand : anything
usage : light-medium gaming, movie, net surfing
size : 14 inch

thx in advance
*
If your budget is 2k~2.5k, you can consider Asus N43JF-VX126V(RM2599) or the newer Sandy Bridge model, N43SL-V1G-VX042V(the price should be the same), Asus N-series have better speakers and can upgrade movie quality from 480p to 1080p~

N43SL??? SB processor??
what the spec??
so which 1 is better? A53SV?? N43SL??
*
N43SL use SB processor. Intel Core i5-2410M, 4GB DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM, 640GB HDD, GeForce GT540M 1GB DDR3.
For my view is N43SL better. Got better sound and video performance. A53SV is bigger, heavier and CHEAPER~

yes, i am sure. i live in sungai petani, kedah. now having pc expo..
rm 2399 is only in limited time.

so is it worthy to buy??

Added on March 5, 2011, 12:55 pm

so do u mean both of them(toshiba n asus) are almost same quality??

and the sales man ask me rather than buy ASUS 52JV-SX022V, it would be better to buy ASUS X42JR-VX141V

Intel® Core™ i7-740QM Processor (6M cache, 1.73 GHz)
- Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 Bit)
- 14' HD (1366x768) LED backlit
- 2GB DDR3 RAM
- 500GB Hard Disk Drive
- DVDRW Drive
- 802.11 b/g/n WiFi
- Bluetooth
- Webcam
- ATI HD 5470 with 1GB Dedicated Memory
- 6 Cell 4400mAH Battery
- Approx. 2.2kg
- 2-year limited global hardware warranty

This X42JR-VX141V laptop or X42JR-VX141V notebook is about 2200 gram.'
selling at rm2699

ASUS 52JV-SX022V has a better graphic card, but with extra rn100, i can gt a i7 laptop..

any idea??
*
Depends on you...if you want to play games, you should have better GPU instead of CPU~What i can tell you is i5 is already enough to play games, play FHD movie and so on~

4GB and 8 GB just the same..what we care about is the speed~1333MHz. If you open games, then open browser, then open Abode Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effect....then you need 8 GB RAM~SSD expensive like hell bro sweat.gif ...
