I like it when you put up "zero lag gaming" - it immediately says "I want the best, and nothing but the best". If that's the case, i'll suggest you go for Acer Ethos, which will pull up your budget to at least 4k.

a hah! but there another side of zero lag gaming! icon_idea.gif

zero lag gaming also can be archive if u lowered the reso tremendously and turn of all the extra eye candy for almost no details/effects.

plain n close to ugly.. but yea super high framerate with zero lag gaming! tongue.gif

@funfunkid grat on ur purchased, man! if only i could settle my lust for laptop purchase as easy as that!
im kinda jelly lol

yea that would be a good debate. i7s generate more heat and consume *slightly more* power compared to i5s. Is that even good for laptops (for now)?

The new i7-2630QM comes with integrated Intel HD 3000 and thus can support GPU switching i.e. Nvidia Optimus for significantly longer battery lives
And its estimated to be approx. 50% better than the previous i7-740QM in terms of performance

iirc old i7 can last around 2 hours. so the new i7 can last around 3-4 hours?

btw how long can the new i5 lasts?

The Acer 5750G (i7-2630QM + GT540M) is capable of reaching 5 hours or so according to reviews...
A very big improvement from the older i7 nod.gif
Not sure how the new i5s fare though, perhaps can ask the new users?

does i5 come with integrated Intel HD 3000 also?
if yes, mean it should be working smoothly with Nvidia Optimus to have longer battery lives
cause seem like some Nvidia Optimus does not function well is it on old i5/i7?? correct me if im wrong tongue.gif
previously, i saw many said "IF" Nvidia Optimus work properly, make me think so biggrin.gif

Yes, it does...
Yeah, there were some hiccups with Nvidia Optimus, but the sifus here managed to find a solution thumbup.gif
As for the new one, not sure because its still new, probably problematic as well, but should be easily fixable
