Guys, I right now actively finding a laptop, already 80% wanna buy this model, but want to know what u guys think

It`s on the dell website and on Promotion. it is DELL XPS 16
will get cash redemption of RM400
so it priced at RM2999 after rebate
Plus said RGBLED is supposed to be good?
Is it worth for what i`m paying for?

PROMOTION ENDS ON 24th FEB 2011 sweat.gif

Anyone use this laptop? how is it?

Any other recommendation on any other model or brand. I`m still open.
thanks notworthy.gif

Yes it's worthed it... It's the only FullHD and RGBLED screen laptop u can get under 3k...
Screen is nice, satured colours.. Not suitable for editing photos though coz u might get the wrong colour balance...

The GPU HD5730 is quite good also... Speakers not bad... Sleek design... Totally worthed it...

Downside probably battery life....

Tablet pc comparison help please =)

So far all tblet pc are deemed slow(processor), th580 have an i3 core for that, but the price seems to be so much different.
the th580 is 3.6k upwards..
Any other viable or upcoming convertibles i should wait for?

There are a lot of Android powered smartbooks coming up nod.gif
Performance should be good since they're not running on W7 haha laugh.gif

that is Asus X42JR-VX141V that come with Radeon HD5470(1GB),it should be fine for gaming
furthermore, thats is the only option you have if you prefer only i7 processor with budget of RM2600

Well, whether to wait or not depends on why/what you need the tablet convertible PC for?
Not sure Android will be able to fulfill all your requirements though

Do take note that gaming performance relies more on GPU compared to CPU nod.gif
Perhaps can take a look at Asus A52Jv (i5-480M+GT540M)?
Others include Asus M43Jf, Acer 4820TG, Toshiba Satellite L645-1123/24/25 etc.
Or you can wait for SB laptops as well (coming in a few months time, those will be better if you're not in a hurry to buy) icon_rolleyes.gif

Asus A52Jv (i5-480M+ GT540M@RM2699, 15 inch) or Asus N43Jf (i5-480M+ GT425M@RM2699, 14 inch)
But I think the promotional XPS16 would be the more suitable choice for your case though, seriously can consider
Dell Studio XPS 16 (i5-460M + ATI 5730@RM2999)
Do refer to Dell's website for more details, the links doesn't seem to work here sweat.gif

For 3.5k it will be good if you can choose the Asus N53SN nod.gif It has better specs and speakers. But the screen is nothing special compared to the Dell Studio XPS 16 laugh.gif
WIFI/WLAN? Don't understand laugh.gif
For the bamboo series, you're paying a lot more for the eco-friendly design (which may degrade eventually with time- Bamboo is biodegradable)... Don't think it has Blu-ray, and we don't often use it now do we? haha laugh.gif
The Bamboo series are not worth it, if really interested, the Asus U41Jf would be an alternative.

Acer 4820TG coupled with good external speakers and 3 years warranty will be good laugh.gif
Well, if you don't plan to buy so soon, perhaps later only decide? Technology changes really quick, the specs will be refreshed before you know it laugh.gif
