QUOTE(lowyat.user47 @ Jun 6 2011, 11:24 AM) I am sad for Roger. The first set was a gift by Nadal but yet he couldn't serve it out. And that first serve down the T, at 30-40 definitely caught the line. Terrible decision by the umpire. On the bright side, at least yesterday wasn't as bad as the 2008 final. IMO Federer can win another slam, provided that it's not Nadal across the net. That forehand to backhand strategy will always work. Now that Rafa has 10 slams, it looks very likely that he's gona improve Roger's number of slams. nah the semi finals betwen roger and novak oso long lah ... remember the umpire giving novak a warning on his ball bouncing taking too much time....Added on June 6, 2011, 11:27 amAlso, I do think Nadal's antique of taking so long in between points affected Roger's rhythm. If you look at the semi final between Roger and Novak, it was really fast-paced. This post has been edited by Yan: Jun 6 2011, 01:43 PM |

Roland Carros is an old competition, not new. But mistake did happened. Maybe they can't really believe Li Na win the Grand Slam, they confused so they make the trophy mistake....This year 2011, don't play play with Li Na, 2 grand slam final and 1 champion..... |

In all honesty this years FO Nadal was playing like crap! The only match I saw that had a shadow of resemblance of Nadals true ball striking was against Robin Soderling.......the match between Murray and Roger.....OMG....I dunno how those 2 guys didn't run off with the match, I give credit to Nadal for really fighting, and winning those matches when he knows he is not playing well, this what separates the men from the boys....... The first set when I saw how Nadal was hitting his forehand.....I was thinking 'Sayonara' kiss the Musketeer's Cup goodbye, when Roger leading 5-2, I was thinking don't count your chickens before it hatch, have not officially won the 1st set yet.....OMG Nadal come back win it 7-5.....2nd set I already see Nadal with another lead and he blew it at 5-4, due to rain....losuy tie-breaker by Federer....3rd set when Nadal leading 4-2, I already preparing to sleep as I expected the match to be over in 20 mins.........the idiot 'choke' throwing in 150Km PH hour serves...........HOLY COW, on the ATP tour....I really dunno how he can be world No:1.............Roger paid the price by trying to rally with Nadal, he had the right idea in the 1st set don't get into a rally with Nadal, don't let him get into a rhythm....play hard and play fast...... All in all....Nadal won a Grand Slam title while playing like crap, trust me if he loses in Queens in the 2nd round, takes a break and concentrates on Wimbledon, hopefully you will see him hitting the ball MUCH better and aggressively....damn the Babolat balls.....I think Nadal cannot bad mouth the balls as he is sponsored by you guessed it Babolat!!!! In all honesty all Federer lacked was courage, he was leading 5-2....why suddenly stop doing to what led him there...if he tried and was unsuccessful...that Annacone would have had to try a different tactic. I know its easy to say and write this, while doing in is a totally different matter...but Federer has now lost 6 Grand Slams finals by employing wrong tactics.....if he committed himself to the change for the duration of the whole match and still lost, it would certainly shut myself and all the other commentators on TV.....but the crap thing, is he reverts to his 'safe' mode in his eyes, which in actually fact isn't.....
