Any future potential stars to watch for this year? suggest any to test your knowledge in football..under20 preferably..

here i listed two..

Neymar (santos)- got enlisted for the Puskas award 2010 with one of his brilliant goal..he reminds me of ronaldo and his celebration reminds me of robinho btw.. tongue.gif

Romelu Lukaku (anderlecht) - he already scored 2 goals for belgium at a young age, both against russia, some say he is the new drogba because of his speed, physical advanage and finishing

Neymar is indeed a promising star, scoring total 43 goals in 1 season at a young age of 18.

LOL, I remember we had this kinda thread sometime ago, but the discussion ended up with attempts to define the word 'wonderkid' laugh.gif But I guess this thread can be more flexible. Please no more 'to be a wonderkid, the kid should do this or that' kinda discussion.

Updates for some youngsters who I've posted in the previous thread:

Canales: Well, he doesn't play much for RM sweat.gif

Rafael Carioca: He's now with Spartak Moscow, but haven't heard much of him since. Quite normal for a midfielder to go unnoticed I guess.

Muniain: He is doing reasonably good, but he is very much under rotation with Joaquin Caparros. Obviously he is still very young though, and need the protection.

As a midfielder, he scored 8 goals in 17 appearances. Thats better than the strikers like Torres who only managed 6 out of 19 appearances.

This. I watched the TV3 news yesterday and Najib made a statement that some of our players will be sponsored to play with TOP clubs overseas.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but Thiago from Barca is special.
But others who are more familiar with the youth teams say that his little brother Rafa is a better player.I can't judge him as I have never seen the younger Alcantra play.
Andreu Fontas is another rising star. And in a few years time there will be a guy called Gerard Deulofeu, Gael Etock, Jean Marie Dongou. And a few laters Fran.
I used to watch BarcaTV every night whenever I am in Singapore which was really often hehe.

I really liked Ramsey. Hopefully he will be as good if not better.
For the rest, there are none that makes my mouth water.

Neymar is extremely talented but is a straight up d**khead. You gotta have a decent shoulder on your head to make it at the very top unless your name is C.ROnaldo hehe.

Gonso another Brazilian is good too.

Pastore & De Gea are already established so I won't name him although I just did.

It seems like Manchester United and Arsenal got a few talents.

arsenal, for obvious reasons, they are specialist in building youngsters. But erm, the one i see most likely to shine is Jack Wilshere. Though i dunno about others because i hardly watch their games.

Manchester United too has a few.
Rafael da Silva - Seems to be a really good right back when he is calm.
Welbeck - incredible times he is having in Sunderland.
Evans - did well to fill Rio's boots while he is gone. This year, a little off, but we'll see =)

For Chelsea and Liverpool, im sorry, but i dont really see their youngsters playing. Maybe for Chelsea Sturridge, but i dont see him often on the pitch. As for Liverpool, probably Kelly? Ive seen him play, better than the first teamer in the position he played (because i not sure he right back or left back laugh.gif )

Others like Marc Albrighton. Can consider Bale as youngsters? haha.

p/s: i dunno much, coz i dont play FM biggrin.gif
