Ice Tanker
My first class. I like tanking but this game sometimes does not reward tanking instead kills it. Tanker are suppose to adsorb as much damage as possible and remain aggro.

PROS
+Can solo almost all mission easily
+Great defense with a selected build only

CONS
-Almost useless in group instances without Healer
-Does not dish out damage as much as like it
-Big hole in the pocket
-Defense buff spells consumes too much power

I find tanking in this game a bit weird. Tankers are suppose to take damage but i find it a bit weird in this game. I will list down my problems.
1) Insane defense. Which is a good thing right?
2) Not much skills go into def. I know there are skills which increases defense but that is not what i meant. I wonder how can every damage spell increases damage for a period of time. Why his cannot be done for tanker role also? We have to switch role to receive our bonus and take a damage penalty. With the damage reduction we deal low damages with our spells and get no bonuses. But we need them to maintain aggro.
3) Cost of healing items are too expensive. It is hard to keep buying sodas and not tempted to hit need everytime a group loot is on. We need the extra money because when we go into instances we are spamming sodas like mad for health.
4) Your are the first to die, your other team mate has a chance to run when seeing your life low. This makes repair armor a little pain in the behind.
5) No in battle regeneration, i know it going to be imba but at least give 25% normal regen or something. Sometimes your group mate keep luring and you cant try and escape to regen.
6) Blocking is useless. I know that it reduces damage but in order to maintain aggro you must keep attacking. Don't you see a problem there?
7) On high level dous (OMAC) their are bosses which regen their health. They can easily outlast tankers who are without healers.
8) To get your defense and aggro to a good level you also need a controller to maintain aggro because only offensive spells taunt enemies. But you have to choose, if you aggro you sometimes find out that you run out of power for defense buff which is also useless if your going to aggro and just die quickly.

Conclusion
Tanker in this game is a needed but not necessary. This is because of the health regen system there are times where you feel like your are in a dead end. Tankers need healers no matter what so sadly this also means tankers are too depended on healers and their power bar. I wish they can be more independent in tanking and doing their job without much help.

Fire DPS
My second character now level 15. I can tell you im already doing much better then my tanker. This is because every equip gives defense. True that a tanker has increased defense because of their role but killing people faster also reduces the amount of damage our receive overtime.

PROS
+Insane Damage
+Cost efficient
+Good with any element and any build
+Less aggro
+Damage spells are low power consumption

CONS
-Has problem solo

So DPS is a every element class. I see no drawback in being a DPS unlike tank where they reduce your damage. DPS classes can give more choices to your skills and lets you experiment with different builds.

1) Has problem solo early on with the 3-4 boss fights where you armor and damage are not yet able to allow you to solo.
2) Finding equipment which increases you damage can be very hard with weapon drops harder since there are more weapon classes then armor classes in the game.
3) Can choose between spells(Power dependent) or attack(Not Power dependent) to dish out damage.
4) A little light on the armor.
5) Can mix with any class.

Conclusion
I seem to find less weakness in DPS classes then tank. In tank you are bound to take only 1 skill tree set. As DPS you can take almost every skill in the skill tree and still be strong. Even certain defensive skills with increases defense also increases damage. I see this as a better option already then a tanker.

I want to know your opinion also. I yet to try healer and controller. So what is your opinion.
