Juz buy SSD than replace it wif HDD..Acer warranty allow self upgrade x? icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif

example, if we upgrade ram during purchase, it'll broke the seal. Ask the shop not to re-seal the warranty sticker on it.

from there, you can strip off hdd and install ssd biggrin.gif

Meaning warranty will avoid la?

once got tear on seal, it'll void the warranty. but if you upgrade during purchase, the warranty is still there since the shop helped you upgrade on the spot. smile.gif

got some questions for you mate,

1. Were you down there in the flesh? if so, hows the feel of the lapop? in terms of build quality..
2. stock! I reckon demand for this laptop must be crazy, would you have an idea about that?
3. deal, what kind are we talking about? when I bought my BenQ S41 2 years ago, I got an extra  2 gig ram upgrade, a free mouse and lock...something along those lines?
4. and finally, would you know if any other brands of laptops are coming in with the new SB processors just before the end of the month?

thanks in advance,
What a shame this doesnt have a full HD screen  sad.gif

4. i don't think so. the earliest is on february onwards.

If you need full hd, you can pick xps 15 or 16 which have an option to upgrade to full hd

U're talking about MSI GT680R right? Malaysia selling for RM5999 which I think is reasonable priced considering it has 120GB SDD+500GB HDD, Bluray drive...
The USA version with 500GB+500GB HDD instead is selling around RM4.5k after converted... Not much difference considering the SSD in the Malaysia

i need more info on gt680r so i can compare with sager model. i have eyed on sager since it has an ability to upgrade it's CPU/GPU

hmm...the price + spec is tempting.

in this case, i might stick with sager since the parts is upgradable smile.gif

so far, not yet. 5750g is the only sb laptop available in the market. to compare this with others, need to wait next month or march.
