QUOTE(HolyCross @ Jan 22 2011, 03:35 PM)
guys,

can Acer 5750g plays 1080p HD videos?
Don't think so as the screen is HD only, imo can be played after plugging to external Full HD monitors, but haven't try before yet.

The maximum resolution is depends on the screen. I think forumer tonyvyp is saying that the laptop can play means can open but open Full HD video will need GPU performance and hence better GPU can open it more smoothly. In this case, if want to watch movie in Full HD, u still have to plug to external monitor which is Full HD(1920X1080pixels) via the HDMI port to watch it.

= = Yeah, it seems kinda fragile when u press it with your finger.
Anyway, I'm using the Acer bag which comes with the laptop. Is ok for me since can used as sling bag or carry bag. Don't think will affect the screen if the laptop is placed facing out or in with that bag.

No it won't if its normal temperatures when plugged in..

Because the battery stops charging anyways when it's fully charged..
*
Yeah, I know it stops charging when full. But the laptop is still using the battery current right when operating?
= =
If it's true, then I won't take out my battery then. Very troublesome cause I take out when I don't need to use. So good in taking care my laptop now. Lol~

Yup, eugene is correct.
Just downloaded the BatteryCare and open it. This programme not only shows that there will be no current flowing in the battery but also display the laptop's battery model. Lol!

someone updated the bios from 1.01 to v.1.02? it's for downloading on the acer support site.

And by the way: i think pluging in the cable of the power supply into the notebook is alittle hard? i've got a 5742 runnig here too and her it is quite easier...
*
hmm.gif Really? Anyone share the bios update link pls?

QUOTE(pcmanacer @ Jan 28 2011, 12:35 AM)
does your fan or the "wind" blowing out making also kind strange sound its like nt only a wind but thers also al little "rattling?" don't know how to describe correctly tongue.gif could you hear to it ?
*
Well, mine have some sound when gaming and it blows quite hot air out from the vent.
After switching to integrated GPU for games like Dota, the temperature weren't that bad as before when using the nvidia GT540M.

Hey guys, long time never update already.tongue.gif
Just now when I typed on the keyboard, it is okay already(before I had problem with some keys that needed to be pressed 2 times to make it visible)
My guess is that I updated the laptop frequently with the Windows Update and I can now type without any problem.
biggrin.gif Very happy now, hehe.
Btw, the graphics problem never occur on me, but I felt that the heat is quite high about 70-80+ degree celcius. It may be normal for a quad but maybe I'm just not used to it.
= =
The hot air blowing out and the hot plastic that I feel makes me worry.

Click Start > Type "regedit" on the search bar > Click Yes to approve the programme > Then double click HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Click "Software" > Click "Blizzard Entertainment" > Click "Warcraft III" > Click "Video" > Double click "resheight" and change the numbers to "768" > Double click "reswidth" and change the numbers to "1366".

I'm not sure if it works, don't really remember the exact procedure.tongue.gif

Hi Lee, need your help here. Yesterday my keyboard works well. The 3 keys can be typed without any problem. After I restart my laptop, it occurs back again. @@
Even the external keyboards are having the same problem. Now I think it's not my keyboard having problem but just the settings right? Please help me. cry.gif notworthy.gif
